About Camille Restaurant

Located at 2507 Hearst Avenue in Berkeley, California, Camille Restaurant offers a delightful experience for those seeking authentic and flavorful Asian cuisine, particularly specializing in a variety of noodle dishes. As a valued member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Camille Restaurant provides a range of dishes that have garnered positive feedback for their taste, portion sizes, and affordability, making it a noteworthy spot for local users in the Berkeley area.

One of the most prominent highlights from customer reviews is the exceptional quality of their noodles, described simply as "AMAZING!!" This enthusiastic endorsement suggests that noodle aficionados will find Camille Restaurant to be a particularly satisfying destination. The reviewer felt compelled to rewrite their initial feedback with more detail, indicating a strong positive impression and a belief that the restaurant is "wayyy too underrated."

Despite some potential drawbacks mentioned regarding payment options, the overall sentiment towards Camille Restaurant is overwhelmingly positive, especially concerning the food and service. The reviewer, who generally offers full stars to establishments with nice staff and average food to support them, explicitly states that Camille Restaurant is "one of the few restaurants I would actually revisit!" This strong recommendation speaks volumes about the quality and appeal of their offerings.

A significant advantage of Camille Restaurant, especially for the Berkeley area where dining costs can be high, is its affordability. Customers have noted that the price is relatively affordable compared to other restaurants in the vicinity, while also offering great portion sizes. This combination of generous servings and reasonable prices makes Camille Restaurant an attractive option for students, budget-conscious diners, and anyone looking for good value without compromising on taste or quantity.

One dish that has received specific praise is their pork, which is described as braised and seasoned perfectly. This indicates a mastery of traditional cooking techniques and attention to detail in flavor development. For those who appreciate well-prepared pork dishes, this could be a standout item on the menu.

The reviewer explicitly recommends Camille Restaurant to those who love Asian noodles or cuisine in general, further emphasizing the restaurant's specialization and quality in this area. The mention of specific popular dishes like # Hong Shao Pork Noodle, # Spicy Hotpot, # Chicken leg Noodle, and # Spicy Beef Noodle Soup provides valuable insights into their menu highlights and suggests a diverse range of flavorful options to choose from.

While the positive aspects of the food and service are clear, it's important to address the point raised about payment options. Camille Restaurant currently only accepts cash or Venmo. However, they do provide wifi for Venmo if needed, which shows an effort to accommodate customers who may not have cash readily available. While this limited payment method might be inconvenient for some, the overwhelmingly positive reviews of the food and service suggest that many find the quality worth this minor inconvenience. The reviewer even urges potential customers not to be "trick by the rating" (possibly referring to lower ratings stemming from the payment issue) and to give the restaurant a try, assuring them, "You won't regret it."

Another customer echoed the sentiment about the good value, stating, "Good amount of food for the price. You won’t see these prices anywhere else, especially around the Berkeley area." This further reinforces the affordability aspect. This reviewer ordered R1 (chicken leg over rice) and found the taste to be "decent with a good kick to it," indicating that their rice dishes also offer a satisfactory and flavorful experience. The fact that they provide cold and hot water on the house is a thoughtful touch that adds to the overall positive impression, especially for those looking for a quick and budget-friendly meal.

The same reviewer mentioned they "Would return for a quick lunch," suggesting that Camille Restaurant is also well-suited for those seeking a fast and satisfying midday meal option. This aligns with the efficient service often associated with smaller, highly regarded local eateries.

Information regarding the ambiance or specific services beyond food preparation and friendly staff is limited in the provided reviews. However, the focus on delicious food, generous portions, and affordable prices suggests a no-frills approach where the quality of the cuisine takes precedence. The provision of wifi for Venmo users indicates a practical approach to customer service, addressing a potential inconvenience directly.

In conclusion, Camille Restaurant stands out in the Berkeley area as a Chinese restaurant offering exceptional value and incredibly tasty Asian cuisine, particularly their diverse range of noodle dishes. The braised pork, spicy hotpot, and chicken leg noodle are highlighted as must-try items. While the limited payment options of cash or Venmo should be noted, the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the food quality, generous portions, and affordable prices, coupled with friendly service, makes Camille Restaurant a compelling choice for local users seeking a satisfying and budget-friendly meal. Don't let the payment policy deter you from experiencing what many consider to be an underrated gem in the Berkeley food scene.

AMAZING noodles!! (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)🍜❤️ I decided to rewrite the review with more details since I think this restaurant is wayyy too underrated! Although I gave most restaurant full stars as long as their staff are nice and the food are within average since I want to support them, this is one of the few restaurants I would actually revisit! The portion is great, and the price is relatively affordable compared to other restaurants. 😇 Their pork is braised and seasoned perfectly as well! 🍖 If you love asian noodle or cuisine, this is definitely a place for you! I think some people gave them low rating is bc of the limited payment option ⬇️ *they only take cash or venmo, but would provide you wifi for venmo if needed. But yes, their staff are nice! Don’t be trick by the rating and give it a try! You won't regret it ☺️ # Hong Shao Pork Noodle # Spicy Hotpot # Chicken leg Noodle # Spicy Beef Noodle Soup

Nice and clean, love the new renovations, they've made the place more sleek and moder. The food seems to have improved drastically as well due to the simpler menu. Speaking of the menu, it's become much clearer and it's easy to tell what you can and what you are ordering. I ordered the oxtail soup and the portions are pretty big, with 4 pieces of oxtail. Will definitely return again!

They have great asian food, I’m chinese-american and find it very comforting. I got the mapo tofu this time but I also like their eggplant tofu. The service is great, they are super friendly and even gave me a free tea egg today. You can join their wechat group chat to receive updates on daily specials, etc.

Visiting the Berkeley area I stumbled onto this place for lunch which is inside the Hearst Food Court. I ordered their SP3 Lamb Shank with Noodles Soup and a Sprite. The lamb shank portion was very generous and soup was very tasty. The price is very reasonable for the portions served. The cashier was friendly and the service was quick. I was told they are under new ownership for the last two months. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in town.
