About Cajun Crab & Pho

Looking for a unique culinary experience in Omaha? Cajun Crab & Pho, located at 346 N Saddle Creek Rd, offers a blend of Cajun seafood boils and Vietnamese pho. While categorized on some platforms as a Chinese restaurant, customer reviews indicate a menu featuring these distinct cuisines.

Based on customer feedback, the seafood boil appears to be a popular choice. One reviewer found the create-your-own seafood boil (with crab legs and shrimp) to be good, although they noted that the shrimp was overcooked. They also appreciated the extra corn, potatoes, and eggs included in their order.

However, other aspects of the meal received negative feedback. The Shrimp and Chicken Fried Rice was described as not being fried rice at all, but rather yellow rice with peas, carrots, shrimp, and questionable chicken. This dish was deemed inedible by the reviewer. Similarly, the Vietnamese Rolls were reported to be excessively greasy and were also not eaten.

Another customer who ordered a shrimp and crab leg boil experienced overcooked crab meat that stuck to the shell. They also reported a long wait to get assistance from their server and had to involve an intern to find the manager. While the manager offered advice on opening the crab legs and brought out a new batch, they did not follow up. The service was further criticized for the server's lack of attentiveness, requiring the customer to seek assistance to pay the bill. Additionally, a 15% gratuity was automatically added, which the customer felt was unwarranted based on the service received.

Despite the mixed reviews, particularly regarding the non-seafood boil items and service, one customer stated they would order the seafood boil again. Tried this place because I wanted a seafood boil. I ordered the create your own seafood boil (1lb of Crab legs, 1 lb of Shrimp with extra corn, potatoes and eggs), Shrimp and Chicken Fried Rice and 2 Vietnamese Rolls. The seafood boil was good but the shrimp was overcooked. The Fried Rice was NOT FRIED RICE AT ALL!!! It was yellow rice with peas, carrots, shrimp and some kind of meat that was supposed to be chicken but looked real suspect. We didn’t even eat it because it wasn’t fried in any way period! Chile!!!! We didn’t eat the rolls either because they were too greasy. I’d order the seafood boil again!!

I ordered a shrimp/crab leg boil. Crab meat was overcooked and stuck to the shell. After a long wait to have someone find my server, the intern goes to get the manager. The manager asked how was I opening them (bro with the tools you provided me). He then asked if I would l like to know another way ( yes, sir, after you bring me some that are not overcooked). They asked for the ones on my plate to bring more, no worries, I'm not eating them. New ones cane out fresh manger nowhere to give me a lesson. Server or should I say lack thereof. He came back the upon request and did not check on us one time. We even had to ask someone to find him just to pay. Oh yeah, and omg, we were forced to give him 15% gratuity when he clearly deserved 5% for bringing out the food. We'll at least i had good company

Rare beef pho was to die for! The crab was cooked to perfection and not over done, as well as the shrimp. Which were also bigger sized and great tasting. Appetizers came out fast, and tasted great. The spring rolls were as they should be, and nice cold and crispy. I will be honest, the chicken fried rice was very bland and left some room to be desirable. It was very plain and not much flavor.

I took a bite into my corn and it felt like i bit into a rock. I thought I cracked my tooth and I looked closer into what I had chewed and it looked like the tip of a nail. I went to go asked for the manager which never came out.Inwas told was the shell of the crab. I have had my fair amount of seafood boils and have bit into the shell accident before and it was not like that nor did it look like that. Even the waitress agreed it looked like a nail. The manager never officially came to speak to me and only was offered a 10% off. Pics for reference.
