Cafe Hunan

This place is amazing! The food reminds me of New York City take out. Hot, fresh and delicious. Jenny at the front is super kind and helpful. She even gave us some dumplings to try. Also the place is clean. Definitely try this place for dine in.

1000/10 best Chinese food I’ve had in Dallas. The bbq pork fried rice was amazing, the pork is so tender and it’s huge pieces of meat. We also had sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken, both were fantastic. I have to also compliment the packaging because the food arrived HOT, I mean visibility steaming hot, even from a third party delivery. It was so fresh! The sweet-and-sour sauce has a slightly different flavor than what I am used to, but I honestly can’t even complain. I also tried one of the roasted pork egg rolls. Is it work $4? Ehhh, maybe not — but it was pretty tasty and was in the thick, bubbly wrap and not the thinner spring roll type wrap. Overall wonderful and will definitely be back.

So yummy! Service was fantastic and so was the food 🍲 I’m surprised the place wasn’t busy upon arrival. Will definitely come back when if I visit Dallas again! 🫶🏻

The food here is 5 star. I have eaten at various Chinese bistros throughout the US. Cafe Hunan is by far the best. The sweet, spice, crunch, savor, and tenderness of the meat is all there! The food is always hot, never cold. I love it. The environment isn’t loud so I’m about to eat and work from here. I find myself in awe and expressing excitement after every bite. A little pricey but it’s worth it. This is my second time coming to Cafe Hunan. The community is safe and is in a bustling area. I haven’t had any issues finding parking and the building, and its features are always clean. The older woman floating between the kitchen and cash register is such a darling, I wish she was officially apart of my family. She makes guests feel welcomed and prioritized.

Three stars only because the food was ok. There was nothing extraordinary about it- I’ve actually had better Chinese food before. The crab rangoons were ok, the combination fried rice had too much green onions in it and didn’t have very good flavor. The BBQ roasted sliced pork was very dry, Mongolian beef was ok, and the combination lo mein wasn’t very flavorful either. The portions were average and the food was delivered hot. Probably won’t eat here again.
