Burp Bowl Cafe is described by patrons as a small shop offering great food and friendly service. The menu is considered average in size, but the portion sizes are generous for the price. This Upper East Side location has consistently provided positive experiences, accommodating both individuals and small groups of coworkers. Customers have noted the consistently hot food and the good atmosphere.

This location is a new addition, with previous positive experiences reported at their midtown location. Dishes like the sesame sauce cold noodles and chicken with chili sauce have been sampled at the new UES location. While one customer found the cold noodles to be sweeter and less fragrant compared to the midtown location, the chicken with chili sauce was considered much better at the UES location. The reviewer noted that the chicken was tender, and the flavors of chili oil and chicken were well-balanced, a contrast to a previous experience at the other location where excessive MSG was perceived. Overall, the new UES location is seen as a nice place to grab a bite.

While specific details about the cafe's decor or any current promotional offers are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the consistent feedback highlights friendly staff, good portion sizes, and generally well-received food, making Burp Bowl Cafe a promising option for those seeking a Chinese restaurant in the Upper East Side.

Small shop with great food and friendly staff. Menu is average, food comes in good portion sizes for what you pay. Have been to this location (ues) and have had a great experience each time. Accommodated me and a few coworkers before, always hot food and a good atmosphere.

It my first time coming to their new location in UES. I have tried them several times in midtown. I ordered sesame sauce cold noodles and chicken with chili sauce today. Compared to the other location, the cold noodles were too sweet for me, and the fragrance of the sesame sauce is not strong enough. As for the chicken, it was actually much better than the other location. I remembered looking for water after eating it at the other location, because they were too generous with the MSG. However, this time at the new location, it was very delicious. The chicken was tender, and I was able to taste the chili oil and the chicken itself. Overall, it was a nice place to grab a bite.

Very cozy place and reminds me of my daily food in China. Super friendly and nice owner. She is very detail oriented and cares customers feelings. Also I noticed that she remembers her frequent customers. If you want to taste the authentic Chinese daily breakfast pho and noodles, here’s the place you definitely should go.

New Chinese noodle shop from this mini chain. Affordable. Beware of the „authentic“ amount of spice used in the soup dishes. Mild spicy is already enough to make your eyes shed a tear. Menu has interesting options (intestines, tongue). Soups come with either rice or egg noodles. Tripe soup was excellent. Cucumber salad a bit basic. Cold sesame noodles great, could have had some more sesame and soy sauce. There are only 9 seats and it’s not a place where you would want to stay long, but it’s probably a place where takeout will be the majority of their business anyway.

No frills, hole in the wall kind of noodle shop serving up delicious food. The beef in the beef rice noodle soup was delicious and so tender, some of the best I've had.
