About Buffet at Asia

Buffet at Asia, located at 1518 E Flamingo Rd in Las Vegas, offers local users a modern and spacious all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet experience. Customers have noted the attentive service, with staff consistently refilling food stations and maintaining a clean environment, suggesting a possibly newer and well-maintained location.

The buffet features a solid food quality, with fresh sushi being a highlight. The salad selection is also praised for its freshness and variety. While one reviewer felt the beef selection could be more extensive, the overall offerings were satisfactory. Notably, drinks are included in the menu price.

A significant feature of Buffet at Asia is their weekend dinner special, available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: all-you-can-eat Lobster, Oysters, and Crab Legs for under $30. This makes it a potentially attractive option for seafood lovers looking for a weekend indulgence. However, it's important to note that this special is exclusive to weekend dinner hours.

For those seeking a unique culinary adventure, Buffet at Asia offers Fried Frog Legs, described as a delicacy with a tender texture and distinct flavor often compared to chicken. This is presented as a special recommendation for those willing to try something new.

It's worth noting that there are reportedly three locations with the same name, and the one in the West area is slightly more expensive. The reason for this price difference is not detailed in the provided information.

While one reviewer found the total price (just over $30 for a solo diner after tax and an automatically included 11% tip) a bit steep, especially for a weekday visit, they acknowledged the good service and quality made it a worthwhile visit. Weekend pricing might be influenced by the availability of crab legs. I visited Buffet Asia on Flamingo Road around 4:30 PM, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service stood out right away—staff were attentive and made sure all the food stations were consistently refilled and everything remained clean. It seems like this might be a newer location since the space felt modern, very spacious, and well-maintained. The food quality was solid. Everything I tried was fresh, especially the sushi, which was one of the highlights of the buffet. The salad selection was also good, offering a fresh and diverse range of options. However, I did feel that the beef selection could be expanded a bit—it felt limited compared to other sections. In terms of pricing, the drink was included in the menu, which was nice. However, after taxes and the automatically included 11% tip, the total came out to just over $30 for one person. While the service was good enough that I left an additional tip, I still think the price felt a little steep for what was offered. Ideally, I believe the price should be closer to $25, especially for a solo diner. But it’s worth noting that this might be due to weekend pricing since they offer crab legs during weekends, though I didn’t try them this time. Overall, the cleanliness, attentive service, and fresh food made it a good experience. The price is my only real concern, but given the good service and quality, it was still worth the visit.

It’d be interesting to find out what makes it different! Special Recommendation: Fried Frog Legs For a unique culinary experience, try the Fried Frog Legs! With their tender texture and distinct flavor, they’re often considered a delicacy that rivals chicken. If you're up for a new taste adventure, don't miss this dish!

I was craving mainland American Chinese food today and found a place on Google Maps with a 4.0 rating and 570 reviews, which seemed like a good choice. Don’t quote me on this, but I think this place used to be under different management and had a different name. I first pulled into the parking lot around 11 o’clock. It wasn’t too busy, and since I wasn’t hungry, I left and came back an hour and a half later. By then, the parking lot was pretty full, so I parked in the additional parking at the back. Once I got in, I didn’t have to wait. I prepaid $15, and the 11% service charge plus tax brought my total to $18.05. Their sign says no tipping is required because they already charge a service fee. I think this policy enhances the dining experience, as it removes the ambiguity of tipping at a buffet or takeout place. However, I did notice the table next to me leaving an extra tip, whether because they misread the note or simply wanted to express gratitude. The food was quite good. I tried to sample a little of everything, but there were too many items to try them all. The standout dishes that are still on my mind include the shrimp, salmon sushi, barbecue pork, doughnut, egg roll, and a sip of egg drop soup, which was really good. I wanted more but was too full. All the dishes were fresh and of good quality, and I noticed staff replenishing the food as I served myself. One feature I particularly liked about this place is that drinks are included in the buffet. At some Chinese restaurants, you have to pay extra for beverages, but this place even offered hot tea, which was a nice perk since I wasn’t in the mood for soda or a cold drink on a chilly winter day. The restaurant was packed with people coming and going, yet the buffet wasn’t overly crowded, making it easy to get food. I saw in the reviews that some people had to wait to get in, but that wasn’t the case during my visit. There’s plenty of parking, and both cash and credit are accepted. However, I didn’t notice any signage regarding price differences between cash and credit, or details on weekday versus weekend lunch or dinner pricing. This buffet now has a heart mark on my Google Maps for the next time I crave Chinese food. I will definitely come back!

*1/5 Stars - Disappointing Experience at Buffet @ Asia I recently visited Buffet @ Asia, expecting a delightful dining experience. Unfortunately, the food quality was severely lacking, making it a regrettable choice. *Cold, Old, and Tough Food Most dishes were lukewarm or cold, indicating poor food handling and replenishment. The meat and seafood options were overcooked, tough, and tasted old. *Unappetizing Egg Rolls and Shrimp The egg rolls were incredibly rubbery, clearly past their prime. The shrimp were not properly purged, leaving a gross, gritty texture. *Unimpressive Vegetarian Options The green beans were smothered in an unnatural, cheesy sauce. The cucumbers in the sushi were bitter, ruining the entire dish. *Conclusion Given the subpar food quality, I would not recommend Buffet @ Asia to anyone. The lack of attention to food freshness, temperature, and preparation makes it a disappointing and unappetizing experience. *Rating Breakdown: - Food Quality: 1/5 - Service: 2/5 (staff seemed overwhelmed) - Value: 1/5 (overpriced for the quality) Will not be returning.
