Bruce's Chinese Kitchen

Service was great! However I was very disappointed with my food. I’ve never seen yaka mein this way. The broth had absolutely no flavor. The meat was barely done and idk what kind of meat it was . Typically yaka mein is beef stew meat or chicken even shrimp. I’ve had other dishes from this restaurant and was very pleased. This for me was a huge no! I even tried to doctor it up adding seasoning and drowning it in soy sauce and it still was a no. I did not eat the mystery meat . I did leave a type bc of the service for my to go order. I posted what yaka mein is supposed to look like

My family and I have been eating at this restaurant for many years. I have zero complaints. The food is good. The service is even better. The ladies that run the place or the nicest people.. Excellent takeout food

I ended up here because my normal Chinese place is closed on Mondays. It is now my go to Chinese food in Slidell. The food Sam amazing. The staff was very friendly and swore up and down that they would be my new favorite Chinese restaurant, what they were right. The crab Rangoon was the best I’ve had.

I read all the reviews and decided to go with this restaurant based on the reviews that was saying the food was spectacular. There is nothing further from the truth. These people must not have ever eaten food that's actually good. They must eat out of a garbage can on a daily basis because this is the worst ..i mean the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my entire life. The lo mein, oh my God ,it's like spaghetti noodles in a plastic container with no flavor at all. Don't get me started on the fried rice. It tastes like cafeteria rice that they left from the day before and re served it to the kids. The beef and broccoli has no flavor whatsoever.. I had to come home and add soy sauce and hoisin sauce just so I could choke it down. Just horrible and whoever said it was good in the reviews-y'all need play in traffic ! I don't know -get a new pallet because your pallett is ridiculously off. Horrible horrible. And the worst part's we spent $48 That should be a lot of good Chinese food but now it's a lot of crap!

Thank you Bruce for catering my family Christmas party. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the eggrolls, the portions were huge. I highly recommend Bruce 's catering for anyone that is having a party. Thanks again for a terrific time.
