Brooklyn Bistro

If you like hot food, don’t come here! and never do pick up. TERRIBLE first impression would never return or recommend. Overpriced and just under mediocre at best. There are SO many more worthy restaurants to spend your money at in Tom’s River. This is not quality. Confused with the photo? It is supposed to be fried calamari! However, it’s got ice cold and covered in a pound of cold wet slop on top with a balsamic reduction so thick it rivals molasses. You’ve been warned.

This place was a great find… We’re not from the area but we are from Brooklyn so we had to try it. I’ll tell you this place is more Brooklyn than Brooklyn is these days…The atmosphere was pleasant as were the staff and the food was delicious. The portions were generous so we had leftovers to take home. Their cheesecakes are dynamite! I had the bistro special ricotta cheesecake with lemon zest and a balsamic glaze and it was absolutely delicious! I’m already thinking about when I can go back with family to show them this gem of a place!

Everyone is so nice, friendly and professional. The food was really good and too pretty to eat. I ordered penne vodka, bistro salad and the turtle topped cheesecake. I'll post pictures. We look forward to enjoying their food again soon!

Don’t even know where to start. The food is absolutely delicious! From the appetizers, dinner and dessert was all amazing! We like to go to dinner on weekends and try new places and this was by far our favorite! My stuffed artichoke was the best I’ve ever had. The pork chop was to die for and the cheesecake….. wow!!!!! Every single bite my husband took he would say “wow”. The staff were super nice and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant is great! My family and I will definitely be going here very often. Definitely go have an amazing dinner.. you won’t be disappointed

Ruined my night. Most of the staff was rude as soon as I walked in. I asked if there was a place to hang our coats and the very rude lady at the front said “you can hang it there or on the other side”. I didn’t want my night to be ruined so I found the hanger and hung the coat myself. We were seated in this very wobbly table and it took them about 12 minutes to even acknowledge that we were there and finally brought some water. Then it took another 5 minutes to bring us some complimentary bread. We were right beside the singer they had for the night. He was great! We placed our orders and the meatballs tasted like they were frozen and preheated. The salmon cakes were ok but were very small for the price. The lasagna we got was the size of a brick and it was STONE COLD. Good ol’ microwaved lasagna. Just a mess of sauce and very bland. Only one server was very nice although I didn’t get her name, the others were very rude to us. We ended up leaving as soon as possible and ended up getting desert at McDonald’s. Their service was WAY BETTER. Shame on you Brooklyn Bistro. Terrible experience, i clearly won’t be going back. Best thing about the place was the singer, the complimentary bread and the one server.
