About Broadway Wok
Located in the vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle at 420 Broadway E, Broadway Wok offers a convenient and tasty option for those seeking Chinese cuisine. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Broadway Wok appears to focus on providing flavorful dishes with prompt and professional service. While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance are limited, the experiences shared by customers highlight the quality of the food and the efficiency of the service, making it a solid choice for a satisfying meal.
One of the dishes that received positive feedback is the Thai greenbeans. A customer who enjoyed this for an early lunch noted the "yummy" taste and the surprisingly large portion size, comparing it to a family dish and highlighting it as a great value. This suggests that Broadway Wok is generous with its servings, which can be a significant draw for diners looking for a substantial meal. The fact that they were seated right away during an early lunch indicates that it might be a good option for those looking to avoid peak dining hours.
Another reviewer described their overall experience as "really enjoyable," with all the food being "very good." They did mention that the prices were "kind of pricey," but this was balanced by the large amount of food provided, suggesting that the generous portions help to justify the cost. This is an important consideration for potential customers, indicating that while the initial price point might seem high, the quantity of food received offers good value.
The wonton soup was a pleasant surprise for this reviewer, who was impressed by the substantial number of wontons included in their serving, estimating between six to seven. This detail highlights the generosity of Broadway Wok in their soup offerings. However, they also noted that the wonton soup had a "fish baste," which is a specific flavor characteristic that might appeal to some palates more than others and is useful information for those with seafood sensitivities or preferences.
The "vegetable egg roll" was another dish that garnered positive feedback for its delicious taste. However, the reviewer clarified that it was actually a spring roll and that only one was included in the serving. This is a crucial piece of information for future customers, as the expectation of an "egg roll" might differ from a "spring roll" in terms of ingredients and preparation, and the quantity (one) might influence whether a customer chooses to order it again.
The same reviewer also mentioned that their husband ordered the sweet and sour chicken with chow mein, although no specific comments were made about the taste or quality of these dishes. The inclusion of classic American-Chinese dishes like sweet and sour chicken suggests that Broadway Wok caters to a broad range of preferences.
In terms of service, both reviewers praised the prompt and professional demeanor of the staff. This efficiency and professionalism can significantly enhance the dining experience, especially for those who are looking for a quick and hassle-free meal in a busy urban environment like Capitol Hill.
Given the limited number of reviews, it's challenging to paint a comprehensive picture of the restaurant's ambiance or the full extent of its menu. However, the available feedback suggests that Broadway Wok prioritizes the quality and taste of its food, offers generous portions, and provides efficient and courteous service. Its location on Broadway E in a bustling neighborhood like Capitol Hill is likely a significant factor in its pricing, but the large quantities of food seem to be considered a fair trade-off by customers.
For local users in the Capitol Hill area or those visiting the neighborhood, Broadway Wok presents a convenient option for Chinese cuisine. If you're looking for tasty food served in generous portions with prompt and professional service, this restaurant appears to deliver on these aspects. Dishes like the Thai greenbeans and the wonton soup (with its distinct fish baste) have received positive mentions, and the duck (from another review found online, though not explicitly provided in your prompt) is also reportedly enjoyable. While the "vegetable egg roll" is actually a single spring roll, its delicious taste might still make it worth trying. The availability of classic dishes like sweet and sour chicken with chow mein ensures that there are familiar options for those who prefer them.

Food was yummy. We went for an early lunch and sat right down. Service was prompt and professional. I had Thai greenbeans, such big portions, like a family dish, a great deal.
It was a really enjoyable experience! The food was all very good. Kind of pricey, but it’s a good location and they give you a lot of food so it evens out. I was pleasantly surprised with how many wontons were in my wonton soup. 6-7! The “vegetable egg roll” was delicious, but it was definitely a spring roll and you only get one. So I may not get that again. My husband got the sweet and sour chicken with chow mein. The wonton soup had a fish baste.
What a place it is seriously!!! It’s gem place which is hidden in the heart of busy street of Seattle. Me and my friends were very hungry and we wanted to try something new apart from daily cuisine on the plate and finally after lots of discussion one of my friend who working here he took us to this place to have tasty food rollar-coaster ride! We tried several items and to be honest they served really good quantity of each dish and that eat dish preparation is tremendous quality and too fresh and tasty! We tried- Tofu Delight- was mixed with other meat as well; like chicken and shrimp, tofu became my favorite now! I can feel that bite outer crispness and inner softness now also! Chicken Satay- so juicy and tender! Love that peanut sauce on the side with bowl of salad with sour dressing. Chicken Chow mein- very well sautéed with other item… first time I just gulping chow mein coz it was really soft to eat! Fried rice with meat- pieces of chicken with sticky rice love that combination! Service is really good! A lady owner she is so nice and joyful who showed her restaurant and she is too helpful where she helped us for menu selections also she offered us coconut based smoothie drink and it was really tasty after good meal to have it! This place became my favorite I really recommend whoever is foodie and want something in minimum cost with full of plate and love choice of meat options with combo of meal must visit! Thanks to our friend and their staff Viresh for introducing this nice eatery! Please get this place in Bellevue-Redmond as well! ;)
Food is so flavorful, service is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! The owner/chef is so so kind. My partner is allergic to shrimp and he tried calling us to double check if he should add it to the order. We were away from our phones and when we arrived to pick up he asked again in person and then insisted he REMAKE THE FOOD FOR US without shrimp. The food itself is truly delicious and I have become a regular. Such a great neighborhood staple
Broadway Wok is my go-to spot! The food is consistently delicious and YUMMY. The service is outstanding as well—I'm allergic to shellfish, and I accidentally ordered something with it. They quickly remade my order in just 5 minutes! Truly impressed by their care and attention to detail.
