Customer reviews for Broadway Cuisine present a mixed picture. Some patrons have had surprisingly positive experiences even when their orders were incorrect. One reviewer, who received the wrong order, described the fried rice as "some of the best I have ever had" and praised the egg foo young and its gravy. They also noted the "super quick and very friendly" staff who promptly tried to seat them.
However, another customer had a significantly negative experience. They reported that the food was "insanely overpriced, especially for lunchtime" and lacked flavor. They also described the staff as "rude and quick to walk away" and mentioned poor service, such as receiving only one napkin after a spill. This reviewer also recounted being chased after leaving, accused of not tipping, and expressing their extreme dissatisfaction with the service and food quality, based on over 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry.
The contrasting reviews suggest that experiences at Broadway Cuisine can vary considerably. While some customers have found unexpected delights in their meals and appreciated the speed of service, others have reported issues with order accuracy, food quality, pricing, and staff attentiveness. If you are considering dining at Broadway Cuisine, it may be wise to be mindful of these differing opinions and perhaps check your order before leaving, as suggested by one of the more positive reviewers.

*Can you believe they got my order wrong and it was still amazing.* I order something completely different and Im not sure how I ended up with this order. Maybe I should have listened closer when she repeated back my order. Although my order ended up being really good. At first I was upset about the wrong order and decided to make the best of it and give it a try. Man let me tell you that’s some of the best fried rice I have ever had. The egg foo young was good and the gravy was probably the best I’ve had. The staff here are super quick and very friendly. Soon as I walked in they instantly tried to sit me at a table. I do feel kind of bad for the people that probably got my order because I’m sure they probably had go back and get their order corrected. Besides that I’m glad they messed up my order. I wish they would have made a mistake and tossed in some egg rolls!😂😂 I would highly suggest stopping by and giving this place a try. Just check your bag before you leave.
We should’ve walked out the moment that we sat down because we saw people at other tables walk out as well. The food is insanely overpriced, especially for lunchtime. The staff was rude and quick to walk away from the table before we finish talking. Every single piece of food that we had la flavor and when I asked for napkins because our tea spilt they brought over one. We left and the lady chased after us. Confused because we definitely paid but she said we didn’t tip. We told her that the service was got awful and the food was just as bad. “ thanks for running after us though.” is what I said to her at the end of the conversation as we walked out. Coming from someone who’s had over 10 years in the restaurant industry this was one of the worst experiences at a restaurant in my entire life . Rude service, bad food, and about two tables worth of customers at the busiest time of the day, which is lunch.
Many years ago we took our little children then to visit our friends in LA and we went to the Plum Tree. This year we wanted to meet our friends again at this restaurant, but now it became Broadway Cuisine. We like the restaurant and food there before and now, the place is bigger and nicer if I recalled since our kids are all much older now. Our friends are older and their kids are all grown up. Nothing beats a nice reunion with the same great food. There are parking in the back which is nice. The prices are still reasonably inexpensive for the food they served. Our friends ordered all the dishes they liked like Mooshu pork, beef, lomein, Tsingtao and sapporo beer, and we had a feast. The wor wonton soup was excellent, the broth was just right with plenty of meat and shrimps, everyone liked it, just like before. The mooshu beef is quite different and tasty from what we used to "pork", we had both with extra pan cakes. The pan cakes here are quite big and thick compare to the one we eat at Hongkong near home. The shrimps in garlic sauce was so delicious and the chicken with fresh mushrooms and bamboo was excellent. All the fried rice dishes are excellent, from veggies, to pineapple to special. Everyone loved them, that's the most important thing. We had so much fun and hungry, we forgot to take pictures of individual dishes LOL. Next time when we visit. The service here is very attentive and pleasant. These ladies are actually had great sense of humor which make the ordering fun.
One of the best Chinese restaurant in China town, used to be called plum tree restaurant, now it's Broadway. Their food is way better then the previous one. The prices are best during lunch special. Love the food they serve, very light and not greasy. The hot and sour soup was very good and very tasty. Beef steak was tender and favorable. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and would definitely come back to try other dishes.
The first time was in a Chinese restaurant, judging by the fact that ate it will be my last time, if you could put 0 points, soup is nothing, dumplings some with meat half raw, the only thing that was acceptable was tea. Chinese cuisine is definitely not for me.
