About Brewery Bhavana - Fenton

Brewery Bhavana - Fenton is a unique establishment located at 850 Lower Gdn Ln in Cary, North Carolina (zip code 27511). While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant, it appears to offer a distinctive dining experience that blends Chinese-inspired cuisine with a brewery concept. It is identified as a "little sister location" to the original Brewery Bhavana in Raleigh, suggesting a connection in terms of culinary philosophy and offerings, albeit potentially on a smaller scale. They can be contacted via telephone at (919) 829-9998 or through their mobile number, +1 919-829-9998.

The concept of a Chinese restaurant integrated with a brewery is a notable feature that sets Brewery Bhavana - Fenton apart. This suggests that local users can expect not only a menu of Chinese-inspired dishes but also a curated selection of in-house brewed beers and possibly other beverages like cocktails. This fusion aims to create a multifaceted dining and social experience for its patrons.

According to one enthusiastic reviewer, Brewery Bhavana - Fenton captures "everything wonderful" from the original Brewery Bhavana, albeit in a slightly smaller setting within Fenton's "Backyard" area. This implies a continuation of the quality and perhaps the style of food and drinks that the original location is known for. The reviewer highlights a "condensed menu" that still manages to be "bursting with flavor" and offers "lots of shareable plate options." This suggests a dining style that encourages sharing and trying multiple dishes, potentially fostering a communal and interactive experience. The mention of "delish" beers and cocktails, with a specific recommendation for the "Spicy Green" cocktail, underscores the beverage aspect of this establishment.

Regarding the environment, the first reviewer describes the atmosphere as "light and bright and airy indoors," suggesting a well-lit and spacious interior design. Additionally, they mention "outdoor patio seating" situated in a "quiet courtyard," providing an alternative dining setting that is peaceful and potentially more intimate. This indicates that Brewery Bhavana - Fenton offers different ambiances to suit various preferences and occasions.

However, another reviewer provided a contrasting perspective on the atmosphere, noting "very high ceilings with floor to wall windows," which contributed to a "very bright" environment that felt "much smaller than I expected." This suggests that while the space might be airy due to the high ceilings and windows, its footprint might be more compact than some patrons anticipate. The difference in perception of the atmosphere could be subjective or depend on the time of day and seating location.

The second reviewer also provided insights into the menu and service. They noted that the menu they experienced was "smaller than the one on the website," which was later explained by the waiter as a temporary "limited menu" due to the recent opening, with the full menu expected to be available the following week. This is an important piece of information for potential customers who might be referencing an online menu. The reviewer sampled several small plates, including "Edamame Ginger Dumplings," "Chicken Curry Bao," "Pork Bao," and a "Ginger Salad" that came with the "General Tso Chicken" entree. They mentioned that "all of the portions are small," which aligns with the idea of shareable plates but might be a consideration for those expecting larger individual servings. The reviewer enjoyed the "Chicken Curry Bao" while their wife liked the "Edamame Ginger Dumplings." However, the "General Tso Chicken" was described as "too acidic" for their taste, indicating a potential point of variability in flavor profiles.

In terms of service, the second reviewer had a somewhat mixed experience. They noted that a staff member "squatted behind us for over 30 minutes chatting with the table behind us," which, in the context of a small restaurant, made them feel "more cramped." They also expressed a slight disappointment in the waitstaff's demeanor, expecting them to be "extra outgoing" during a new restaurant opening, especially if it wasn't overly busy, but did not observe this. This suggests that while the first reviewer found the overall experience positive, the second reviewer had some concerns regarding the attentiveness and spatial awareness of the staff.

The fact that Brewery Bhavana - Fenton is connected to the Brewery Bhavana in Raleigh, but with a different atmosphere, indicates that it might offer a distinct experience while still maintaining some core elements of the original location's appeal. The focus on shareable plates and the integration of a brewery suggest a modern and social dining concept.

For local users in Cary, particularly those in or near the Fenton area, Brewery Bhavana - Fenton offers a unique option within the Chinese Restaurant category. The combination of craft beers and cocktails alongside a flavorful, albeit currently condensed, menu of shareable Chinese-inspired dishes could appeal to those looking for a more interactive and less traditional dining experience. The bright and airy indoor space, along with the quiet outdoor patio, provides different settings to enjoy a meal or drinks.

Potential customers should be aware that the menu might currently be limited and that portion sizes are described as small, which is consistent with a shareable plate concept. The feedback on the General Tso Chicken being too acidic is also worth noting for those considering this dish. As a recently opened establishment, the service dynamics might still be evolving.

In conclusion, Brewery Bhavana - Fenton in Cary, NC, offers a unique fusion of a Chinese restaurant and a brewery, featuring a condensed menu of flavorful shareable plates and a selection of their beers and cocktails. The atmosphere is described as bright and airy indoors with a quiet outdoor patio. While the menu is currently limited due to the recent opening, it promises a variety of tasty options. Local users looking for a different kind of Chinese dining experience, with the added appeal of craft beverages, might find Brewery Bhavana - Fenton an interesting place to explore.

Love, love, love Brewery Bhavana's new (little) sister location at Fenton! This location captures (on a slightly smaller scale) everything wonderful from the original BB and brings it to Fenton's cozy "Backyard" area. The condensed menu still bursts with flavor and offers lots of shareable plate options. The beers and cocktails are delish as usual... the Spicy Green is a must-try! The amosphere is light and bright and airy indoors and the outdoor patio seating is placed in a quiet courtyard. This little sister location is a fantasic addition to the larger one and she deserves a moment in the spotlight too.

If not for the name, I don't think I would have realized this restaurant was connected to Brewery Bhavan in Raleigh. The atmosphere is very different. Very high ceilings with floor to wall windows, very bright and much smaller than I expected. We ordered several small plates including the Edamame Ginger Dumplings, Chicken Curry Bao, Pork Bao, and Ginger Salad and General Tso Chicken entree. All of the portions are small. I liked the Chicken Curry Bao and my wife liked the Edamame Ginger Dumplings. The General Tso Chicken was too acidic for my taste. The menu was smaller than the one on the website. The waiter didn't say anything until we asked and confirmed they are offering a limited menu currently since they just opened and hope to make the full menu available next week. Additionally, one of the staff members squatted behind us for over 30 minutes chatting with the table behind us. The restaurant is already small, this just made us feel more cramped. Also, I kind of expect the wait staff to be extra outgoing when a new restaurant opens, especially if it isn't too busy. Just didn't see that here.

I’m only reviewing the Peking duck dish here. This restaurant has a warm, stylish interior and welcoming vibe. The Peking duck was absolutely delicious—crispy skin, juicy meat, and perfectly seasoned. The dish came beautifully presented with soft bao buns, hoisin sauce, and plenty of fresh green onions and cucumbers. We appreciated that they were friendly and happy to give extra veggies—and if you want more buns, it’s just $3 for 4, totally worth it! The music inside was a bit loud, but since we didn’t come during peak hours, it was still a comfortable dining experience

Went for lunch and it was a great experience. The place is smaller but more open than the original, but gave off somewhat of a similar vibe with the abundance of hanging plants and the small wall of books. The Shumai and the Bao were every bit as good as the original and I especially loved the super crispy General Tso’s Tofu — my mom hates the stuff and loved this version. Service, per normal, was flawless. The menu is smaller but the duck is on it so that will be what I eat during my next visit.

The new Brewery Bhavana at Fenton is amazing! Great date night or happy hour spot. The atmosphere, food and drinks are unmatched! Highly suggest the Spicy Green to drink and the Chicken Curry Bao. And of course you can’t go wrong with any of their beers!
