Great dinning experience at Bonnie’s! The space was so cozy, good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. We weren’t expecting much for the food but it surpassed our expectations! It’s a Chinese fusion spot so we were pleasantly surprised by how they incorporated the Asian flavors. Highly recommend the mussels and fries!

2 friends and I got a reservation for a Tuesday night. We had been wanting to try this spot for a while now and it’s always hard to get a table! We ordered the clam chowder jook, naw mak fan, and jiew yeem yao yu with rice to split. While all of the flavors were amazing and the food was prepared perfectly, we left feeling hungry and noted that normally congee is such a filling dish but was not here. Our server was very nice and the inside is a cute vibe. The takes on Chinese food are fun to try but I don’t know if I would come back.

Great vibe and enjoyed the wine selection. Rice rolls were our favorite and a stand out. The congee is comforting but a little mild. The char siu sandwich was rich. Fries were great. $130 total for 2 people

I’m disappointed by Bonnie’s. I’ve heard people rave about it for years and how hard it was to get in… I went solo before a concert and ordered the dao gok (Chinese long beans) and jiew yeem yao Yu (salt and pepper squid). The flavor of the string beans was my favorite part of the meal, but they were limp when I was expecting them to have a crisp bite. There was a bread ontop that was soaked in the butter/sauce but it made the texture hard to bite through. The salt and pepper squid was similarly soggy??? I’m used to s+p to be light, airy yet crunchy. And the “Chinese ranch” accompanying it was literally plain ranch. None of this wowed me. Like others have said, I found it to be unreasonably overpriced. These two dishes plus tip came out to ~$50 (for one person). My waiter (the bartender) was nice and attentive. Overall, very disappointed.
