About Boba World

Boba World is a Chinese Restaurant located in Woods Cross, Utah, at 512 W 750 S. You can contact them at (801) 298-3626 or their mobile number +1 801-298-3626 for inquiries.

The restaurant is described by one reviewer as a "cozy little Shanghainese restaurant" with a "cute atmosphere," suggesting a pleasant environment for dining. However, opinions on the food appear to vary.

Boba World offers both lunch plates and a regular menu. According to one customer, the lunch plates are considered good and reasonably priced. However, the regular menu items are perceived by the same reviewer as not worth the price, with small serving sizes. They noted that a $10 plate of fried rice on the regular menu was the same portion size as included in the similarly priced lunch plates. This customer, after spending over $100 trying various dishes from the regular menu, expressed dissatisfaction and indicated they would likely only return for the lunch specials.

Another reviewer found the food to be "half and half" in terms of satisfaction, with most dishes being "really good." They specifically mentioned the Shanghai dumplings, noting they were juicy but perhaps not true soup dumplings as they were served without a spoon or chopsticks typically associated with that dish. This reviewer gave the dumplings a 3.5 out of 5 rating.

Regarding the lunch specials, this reviewer highlighted the green beans as being reminiscent of authentic Chinese cuisine, giving that particular dish a 5 out of 5 due to an "amazing" sauce, despite the accompanying potatoes being just French fries. The kung pao chicken was rated as good and above average. Opinions on the orange chicken differed, with the reviewer finding it dry and too sweet, though they admitted to not generally liking orange chicken. The fried rice was described as "pretty standard."

In addition to food, Boba World offers boba drinks. One customer tried the passion fruit boba and liked the base but found the boba itself to be undercooked and hard. They also tried the barley tea, which they felt was not as dark as preferred and possibly a blend, but appreciated that it was hot on a cold day.

Currently, no specific promotional information for Boba World is available in the provided reviews. Customers interested in specials or deals are advised to contact the restaurant directly.

The taste is okay. The lunch plates are good but the regular menu is not worth the price. The serving is very small. I was surprise that the $10 plate of fried rice alone is just the same amount on lunch plates (given that lunch plate is around that price too). My husband and I spent $100+ to try different dishes but we're not happy. We might still go for the lunch plates but never the regular menus again.

Love this cozy little Shanghainese restaurant, the atmosphere is cute. The food was half and half on how I felt about it, but most of it was really good! The Shanghai dumplings were juice, but I don’t think I’d necessarily call them soup dumplings. They definitely don’t give you a spoon or chopsticks like they would for soup dumplings. I’d give them a 3.5 out of 5. For the lunch special we tried three different mains. The green beans reminded me exactly of what I’ve eaten in China, but the potatoes were just French fries..? I’d still rate it a 5 out of 5 because the sauce was amazing on it too! The kung po was good, and I’d order it again, but I think it was just slightly above average. My friend liked the orange chicken, but it was not for me. Kind of dry, and on the sweeter side. I don’t like orange chicken in general though. And the fried rice was pretty standard. We also tried the passion fruit boba, and I liked the base but I did not like the boba itself. It was undercooked so it was kind of hard. We also got barley tea and it wasn’t as dark as I like, tasted like it might be a blend, but it was hot and it’s hard to argue with that on a chilly day.

Amazing food, excellent service. Portions are manageable. Vegetables were perfect and not overcooked. Everything was served hot and fresh. Highly recommend!

Food quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 First time trying Boba World and it was delicious! We got there before the dinner rush and were seated right away. The owner was working that night and took our order. We got the Eggplant and garlic, braised pork belly, mapo tofu, and soup dumplings. Everything came out super fast and was hot and fresh! While the restaurant is called Boba World, the selection was pretty small and it seemed like the focus point was more on the authentic Shanghainese style cuisine. The owner and staff were very nice and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Still a great experience overall!

5 stars all day. Cozy little restaurant with great service and the food was amazing. The General Tso's was probably the best I've ever had. The beef and broccoli wasn't bad and the ham fried rice was good. My only complaint is the portions could be just a little bit bigger. But if you want good quality fresh food I highly recommend this little spot
