About Bo’s Kitchen

Welcome to Bo’s Kitchen, a well-regarded Chinese restaurant situated at 800 S Beretania St, Suite 102, in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a valued member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Bo’s Kitchen offers a variety of Chinese culinary delights, with a particular emphasis on quick and satisfying takeout options, though it also accommodates dine-in customers. Based on recent customer reviews, Bo’s Kitchen is known for its tasty food, efficient service, and convenient online ordering system, making it a popular choice for locals, especially those working at nearby Straub Medical Center and the Honolulu Police Station.

Environment:

One reviewer noted that Bo’s Kitchen was "full" during their lunchtime visit, indicating its popularity, particularly with professionals from the adjacent Straub Medical Center and the Honolulu Police Station across the street. This suggests a bustling and lively atmosphere, especially during peak hours. However, specific details about the decor or overall ambiance are not extensively described. The fact that it caters to a busy lunchtime crowd implies a functional and efficient setup designed to handle a high volume of customers. The availability of takeout service also suggests that the environment accommodates both those who wish to dine in and those who prefer to enjoy their meals elsewhere. One potential drawback mentioned is the "very limited parking," which could be a consideration for customers driving to the location. However, the restaurant's popularity despite this limitation speaks to the quality of its food and service.

Services:

Bo’s Kitchen offers both dine-in and takeout services to cater to different customer needs. A significant highlight mentioned by a reviewer is the "super easy" online ordering system for takeout, which is praised for allowing customers to "skip the waiting lines." This indicates a commitment to convenience and efficiency for those who prefer to grab a quick lunch or dinner to go. For dine-in customers, the staff is described as "very polite and efficient," even when the restaurant is busy. This suggests a well-organized team capable of handling a high volume of orders while maintaining a positive customer interaction. The combination of an easy online ordering system and efficient, polite in-house service contributes to a positive overall customer experience at Bo’s Kitchen.

Features:

A key feature of Bo’s Kitchen is the consistently praised taste and quality of its food. One reviewer particularly enjoyed the "Hainan style chicken," describing it as "very satisfying" and a "solid portion." This dish comes with shoyu, ginger oil, and sweet chili sauce, although the reviewer wished for a spicy chili sauce as an additional option. The "braised gizzards" were also noted as "tasty," indicating a willingness to offer a variety of flavorful options beyond standard Chinese-American fare. Another reviewer raved about the "black bean sauce over chicken and noodle," describing it as "great" and "soo tasty," especially considering its affordable price of $14.50.

The mention of specific dishes like Hainan chicken and black bean sauce over chicken and noodle suggests that Bo’s Kitchen might specialize in certain regional Chinese cuisines or have its own signature dishes that are particularly popular among its clientele. The positive feedback on both the quality and portion sizes (with one reviewer noting a "solid portion" of Hainan chicken) indicates that Bo’s Kitchen aims to provide satisfying meals that offer good value. The availability of different sauces with the Hainan chicken also shows attention to detail and catering to varying taste preferences, even if one customer desired an additional spicy option.

The popularity of Bo’s Kitchen among workers from nearby establishments underscores its reputation for providing reliable and tasty meals that are suitable for a quick lunch during a busy workday. The fact that customers are willing to overlook the limited parking to dine at or get takeout from Bo’s Kitchen further attests to the quality and appeal of its food and service.

Loved my quick takeout lunch here. Online order is super easy and it's great for skipping the waiting lines. The Hainan style chicken was very satisfying and a solid portion to bring on the post-lunch snoozes. Only thing I could have wanted was a spicy chili sauce with it- otherwise it comes with shoyu, ginger oil and sweet chili sauce. The braised gizzards were tasty too :)

I was passing by and a parking space was available so I pulled right in. Yes, they have a very limited parking and they are very popular. I went in for my lunch and the place was full with Straub Medical people as the Straub Medical Center is very near by and the people working at the Honolulu Police Station across the street. I placed an order of black bean sauce over chicken and noodle for $14.50, which is cheap, and it was great, soo tasty. I also have to mention that the staff are very polite and efficient while this place was so busy. This is a great place and I would come more only if there were more parking.

Well the price is reasonable and the taste was OK. It’s something that Honolulu restaurants do not offer albeit these are casual Chinese foods readily available in many places in Asia. I enjoyed the dumplings. The spicy wonton were however overcooked. The scallion cake was a bit overly fried. But do try it and see if you like them for yourself.

I always passing this place, but their parking lot is full. So I have been pushing my chance every time. Finally I had my lucky day!! (I found that there are plenty of space of parking in the back of building!) The food is very good, seems really authentic. I liked their thin noodle, especially. And their price is really affordable. Volume was perfect, and the service is fast and friendly. Since I know that parking is secure, I will definitely go back to this place anytime I would like to eat the good Chinese food!!

Located on Beretania Street across from the HPD Main Station, came to this Chinese restaurant for their assorted handmade dumplings and dishes. Think they used to be in old 99 Ranch Market location in Mapunapuna, glad to see them still around👍 Free parking in front of the restaurant with additional parking above the restaurant building where u enter on Kinau street then walk down the stairs. A mom and pop operation, so go support local businesses🤙 Food was good, thought the dumplings and portions were tinier than expected. The spicy sauce dumplings were probably my fave. 4 stars.
