Customer Reviews
This place has the audacity and no shame to tell you eye to eye how much tip they believe they deserve after you are done eating. Tips are earned, NOT a right. Let me remind you of that simple fact. They shame you on the spot in front of everybody into submission to the dollar tip amount they announce, HANDS OUT in your face. It's very rude and they are not Americans, def foreigners who don't speak English. They want cash payment and ADD TAX. However, I'm very confident that they do not pay IRS the tax they collected. Go elsewhere. Tacky place.
The food at Bo Ky is absolutely delicious β everything was full of flavor and tasted authentic. I especially loved how comforting and satisfying the dishes were. While the service could be a bit more attentive, the amazing food more than made up for it. Iβll definitely be coming back!
CASH ONLY. This is a no frills restaurant that has good duck noodle soup. I recommend the mushroom, duck, and flat noodle soup. It has a light flavor and the duck is simple and has a clean flavor. The soup also has bean sprouts in it which give a nice crunch. I personally like just using sriracha for the soup as itβs delicious as just that. The only reason I think this is a 3 out of 5 is because I feel like cleanliness could be a little better here. Additionally, as other reviewers have mentioned, this place does scam you in a sense. The soup on the menu clearly says $12, but the restaurant will charge you $15 without even saying why. I feel like the soup is overpriced in that sense for what you get. Just be prepared for them to charge you more for your meal without any reason/receipt.
Always walked by this place, and got recommended by my elder coworkers to this place. Country style chicken with rice and Cambodian rice noodle soup, and shrimp dumplings were amazing. Highly recommend all. Lovely sweet and soy based chicken, umami clear broth with thinly slices of pork, and thick skinned pork and shrimp dumplings slapped. Also highly recommend their aromatic smoky hot sauce and bright and spicy sauce on the table to complement the dish. πππ
My friend and I actually come here quite often because itβs one of his favorite places to eat. They take CASH ONLY, so make sure you bring cash if you are planning to visit. The food is cheap and pretty authentic. However, I will say the service is not great. Once we paid our tips at the counter, but when we were leaving our server hold us down accusing us for not paying her tips. After trying to communicate with the counter, we end up leaving another portion of tips. So make sure leave the tips on the table.
