You can contact Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen by phone at (314) 353-8216 or via their mobile number +1 314-353-8216. Information regarding the restaurant's ambiance and interior design is not detailed in the provided reviews. Typically, Chinese restaurants offer a casual and functional dining space for their customers. Given the limited information, it is difficult to describe the specific environment of Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen, but it likely provides a standard setting for enjoying a meal.
In terms of services, Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen appears to offer both takeout and delivery options. One customer review specifically praised their excellent customer service when a pickup mistake occurred. Upon calling from the old location, the restaurant promptly arranged for delivery to the correct address, ensuring the food arrived hot. This highlights a commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to handle logistical issues efficiently. While dine-in service is not explicitly mentioned, it is a common offering for Chinese restaurants, and it is reasonable to assume that Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen also provides this option. To confirm the availability of dine-in and the specific delivery area, it is advisable to contact them directly.
The available customer reviews present contrasting opinions regarding the food quality. One reviewer explicitly stated, "This is not Bo Fung that was awesome on Morganford. This is completely a different experience. Do not expect the same level of quality. Generic Chinese food nothing special about it." This suggests that there may have been a previous establishment with a similar name or ownership at a different location (Morganford), and the current Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen on South Grand might not meet the same standards in terms of food quality or uniqueness. The description of the food as "generic Chinese food nothing special about it" implies that while the food may be acceptable, it does not stand out for its exceptional flavors or unique dishes.
On the other hand, another reviewer focused entirely on the positive customer service experience, specifically highlighting the prompt delivery of hot food after a pickup error. This review does not offer any direct commentary on the taste or quality of the food itself, but it strongly indicates a dedication to resolving customer issues and ensuring satisfaction with the service provided. The willingness to deliver to a different location due to a customer's mistake, and the fact that the food arrived hot, are positive indicators of their service efficiency and care.
Considering these reviews, it appears that Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen may excel in customer service, particularly in handling delivery logistics. However, at least one customer found the food to be "generic" and not comparable to a previous establishment with a similar name. This suggests that the culinary offerings might be standard Chinese-American fare without any particularly distinctive features. Potential customers who prioritize exceptional and unique flavors might want to manage their expectations based on this feedback.
For those considering Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen, the excellent customer service, especially regarding delivery, could be a significant advantage. If you value reliability and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, this aspect of their service seems to be a strong point. However, if you are seeking a more gourmet or distinctive Chinese culinary experience, you might want to explore other options in the area based on the "generic" food description provided in one of the reviews.
As a local Chinese restaurant on South Grand Boulevard in St. Louis, Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen serves a community that values convenience and reliable service. While the food may not be perceived as exceptional by all, the positive feedback on customer service suggests a commitment to ensuring a satisfactory overall experience. Supporting local businesses like Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen contributes to the diversity of dining options available in the neighborhood.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen, you might consider looking for additional reviews on various online platforms. These might offer a broader range of opinions on the food quality, menu variety, and overall dining experience. Keep in mind that individual preferences can vary, and what one person considers "generic" might be perfectly acceptable to another. If you are in the South Grand area and looking for a Chinese restaurant with reported excellent customer service and convenient delivery, Bo Fung Chinese Kitchen is an option to consider.

This is not Bo Fung that was awesome on Morganford. This is completely a different experience. Do not expect the same level of quality. Generic Chinese food nothing special about it.
Excellent customer service. When I made a mistake and went to pick up from the old location, I called and asked for delivery instead. They were at my door in no time, with a smile. The food was still hot, too!
I really wanted to like this place. It's hard to find good Canton-style sweet & sour, so we tried it. The clerk was nice, the place seemed ok, but the food was bland or worse - hopefully it was just a bad day, but I don’t think so. We spent a hundred dollars on various dishes, and the only one that was good was the crab Rangoon, which for all I know came from a bag. The entrées were tasteless. The *worst* was the wonton soup - thin noodles, twisted, not folded - see photo. The filling was *crunchy*, like undercooked rice, and not particularly tasty. For the record, I ate every bite of the wonton soup the next day for my lunch, because it was all I brought, so it wasn't inedible, but regretfully, I can't recommend it.
My go-to carry-out Chinese joint. Pork lo mein, potstickers, and crab Rangoon are all solid. Plus, you get a free order of crab Rangoon once you spend $20. Just FYI because for years we were getting a double order and not realizing it... Staff is friendly. The venue is a bit dingy, but that may be partly due to the lighting. I have never seen anyone eating in, but I am usually only in there to pick up after 8ish. Parking can be a challenge due to them being right on Gravois.
Quick, cheap, great for take out or dine in. St. Paul with pork is one of the best in town and shrimp fried rice and Szechwan chicken are always great.
