About BO ASIAN BISTRO - CHINESE RESTAURANT
Welcome to BO ASIAN BISTRO - CHINESE RESTAURANT, located at 2711 La Frontera Blvd #260 in Round Rock, Texas. As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, BO ASIAN BISTRO aims to serve Chinese cuisine to the community. Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at this restaurant appear to be varied, with some expressing significant concerns while others offer positive feedback.
One detailed review paints a concerning picture of the dining experience at BO ASIAN BISTRO. The customer expressed strong reservations about the restaurant's cleanliness, stating, "Its obvious they never clean." This observation was supported by the claim that even the wrapped cutlery on the tables was "covered in dust." Such feedback raises serious questions about the hygiene standards maintained at the establishment, which is a critical aspect of any food service business.
The same reviewer also provided a detailed critique of the food they ordered. The egg roll, while having a "nice initial crunch," was reportedly "raw on the inside/not edible." This indicates a significant issue with food preparation and cooking. The sesame chicken was also deemed "not good at all," described as "under cooked probably starting to spoil" and having "WAY too much fat/skin left on it." These descriptions suggest potential problems with food quality and safety. Furthermore, the rice was described as "very bland," indicating a lack of flavor.
The wonton soup ordered by this customer also received negative feedback. It was described as "cooked at wayy to high ov heat and served scalding hot." The reviewer ended up discarding a large portion of their meal, only consuming some of the "mushy soup" after it had cooled down. This overall negative experience led the customer to conclude that they would not be returning, especially as this was their third visit, with previous experiences being either mediocre or resulting in illness.
The reviewer went as far as to suggest that the restaurant "would be shut down if were inspected," highlighting the severity of their concerns regarding hygiene and food safety. This strongly negative account presents a critical view of BO ASIAN BISTRO based on one customer's experience.
In contrast to this highly critical review, another customer offered a brief and positive statement, describing the food as "Delicious BO Bistro Chinese food" and encouraging others to order. This positive review also mentioned that "Lunch specials during the week are a must!!" This suggests that BO ASIAN BISTRO may offer value through its weekday lunch specials, which could be a draw for customers looking for a more affordable midday meal.
It is important to note the stark contrast between these two reviews. One describes significant issues with cleanliness and food quality, while the other praises the food and highlights the lunch specials. This discrepancy suggests that customer experiences at BO ASIAN BISTRO may be inconsistent or that different aspects of the restaurant appeal to different individuals.
The first reviewer explicitly mentioned that the restaurant is "all self service." This indicates a particular service model where customers are responsible for tasks such as getting their own drinks, utensils, and possibly even clearing their tables. This self-service approach might contribute to a lower operational cost, potentially reflected in pricing or lunch specials, but it also means that customers should not expect traditional full-service dining.
Information regarding the environment or decor of BO ASIAN BISTRO is limited. The negative reviewer's comments about cleanliness imply a potentially unappealing atmosphere, but further details are not provided. The positive review does not offer any insights into the restaurant's ambiance.
Beyond the mention of self-service and weekday lunch specials, the provided reviews do not offer specific details about other services, features, or any ongoing promotional information. To gain a more comprehensive understanding of BO ASIAN BISTRO, local users might need to seek additional reviews from various sources to get a broader range of perspectives on the food, service, and overall experience.
Given the conflicting feedback, potential customers might approach BO ASIAN BISTRO with caution. Those interested in trying the weekday lunch specials might find value, as suggested by one reviewer. However, the serious concerns raised by another customer regarding hygiene and food quality, including raw and undercooked items, should not be ignored. It would be prudent to consider these points and perhaps look for more recent reviews to ascertain the current state of the restaurant.
In conclusion, BO ASIAN BISTRO - CHINESE RESTAURANT in Round Rock, TX, has received mixed reviews from customers. While one reviewer praised the food and highlighted the weekday lunch specials, another reported significant issues with cleanliness and the quality and safety of several dishes, including raw egg rolls and undercooked sesame chicken. The restaurant operates on a self-service model. Due to the conflicting nature of the feedback, local users may want to exercise caution and seek additional information before deciding to dine at or order from BO ASIAN BISTRO.

Im really not sure how this place has so many good reviews. I should of followed my gut about this placeand walked out before waisting my money and lunch break. Its obvios they never clean. Its all self service. Even the coulple utilities that were rapped in towns on the tables were covered in dust. Now to the food The egg roll had a nice initial crunch. Then was raw on the inside/not edible..the seaseme chicken was not good at all . Was under cooked probably starting to spoil and Has WAY too much fat/skin left on it. The rice was very bland. And i also ordered a wonton soup. Cooked at wayy to high ov heat and served scalding hot. I endee up throwing out 90% of the food. At the mushy soup after it cooled down enough just to have something to get me through the day. This it my third time eating here. First time u was already feeling sick so i figured iy was maybe my taste buds but then was more sick. Second was very mediocre. This time not edible so i wont be back. Im sure yhey would be shut down if were inspected.
Delicious BO Bistro Chinese food, go ahead and order yourself some. Lunch specials during the week are a must!! :)
This is my go-to place for fried rice. The combination friend rice is a huge portion, so I usually get 2 meals out of it. There’s a good amount of chicken, beef and even shrimp in it. I also LOVE the cream cheese puffs. I’ve also tried the wonton soup and it’s pretty tasty. The service is always great and my food is always ready on time for pickup. Highly recommend!
We do order from Bo's pretty often (mostly pick up or delivery), but have not ate inside for some time. We ordered the lunch specials beef with broccoli and chicken with broccoli and steamed rice. And a side cream cheese Rangoon. First, everything was fresh and hot. Which I love, the egg roll was so delicious. Just look at the plates....gorgeous. great job Leo! We will be back.
One of our favorite places for takeout. If you order one of the chef recommendations like the Mandarin style crispy beef, you won't be disappointed. Definitely call them directly to place a to-go or delivery order instead of using one of the apps and you'll get very reasonable prices!
