The place looks great!  The ambiance is modern and very inviting, this is how you get your money lol. The menu offer a great variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, hot plate, appetizers, wine, beer and drinks!  If you ask me they are over priced lol five adult + two kids, cost $500+ lol Services was slooooow lol.  Please don’t get me wrong, the place was packed!  A lot of ppl coming in to grab carry out so the place wasn’t empty didn’t see an empty table but they got a lot of workers!  But our servers was slow….and from time to time I would see 5-6 workers playing w/ their phones lol.  We also have a water pitcher on our table so iam not sure why this high-end restaurant we need to sever ourselves water LOL I can see the fish is fresh & beautifully presented and some of the dishes are good but not great! This is a restaurant, where you try once and hard to come back lol

First dining experience here was this past early October and definitely looking forward to bringing my wife here again. This sushi house boasts an extensive menu for a variety of fish, Maki, apps as well as wine/cocktails. I absolutely love the aesthetic of this venue! Took my wife here with a change of pace in mind as opposed to the usual steakhouse/seafood outing, she enjoyed it. Prices are reasonable towards the value of food despite the increased price on just about everything roughly the last 4 years. Hands down the most superb experience eating sushi and our server who was also the bartender did a wonderful job. Rumor has it that he went thru extensive special forces training on becoming a master mixologist. Best sushi venue in Vernon Hills and easily one of the greatest in Lake County. A most highly recommended dining experience!🍸🐟

Incredible experience at Blufish. What once was my childhood Panera Bread location has been completely transformed into a beautiful unrecognizable space. Truly much more high end and elegant feeling than I was expecting. The menu options were phenomenal and plentiful. Everything we ordered was delicious and presented exceptionally. My favorite was the King Kong roll with black rice and the Maguro Tartare appetizer, though everything was delicious. Everyone at our table was very happy with their food and I have to give extra praise to our waitress who was very diligent in addressing a nut allergy at our table. We are so rarely asked off the bat if there are any allergens to watch out for. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was safe for my partner to eat. Cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu!
