Customer Reviews
It was my first time here. I tried spicy chicken, crispy burger with pork, and buckwheat noodles today. The chicken was nice, a bit dry for the part of the chicken, it was the drumstick. The sauce was pretty good at the first few bites. It was nice and fragrant at first. However, then the MSG followed, and it became too overpowering and salty. The spiciness and the numbness was very nice though, I just hope that they can put less MSG in it if it’s possible. The crispy burger and pork was the highlight of the meal. It wasn’t joking about the crispiness of the bun. It was nice and flaky. The pork was a nice mixture of the lean and fatty pork. It was delicious, and was almost as good as the ones I tried in Xian, China few years ago. The buckwheat noodles were nice as well. The texture of the noodles were so unique that I wasn’t sure if I liked in the beginning. I did grew to like it. The broth seemed spicy but it wasn’t. It was actually a bit bland to my taste. Overall, it was a nice restaurant. I’d like to come back and try their other noodles and their dumplings. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly.
This restaurant opening up closer to my workplace is a godsend!! Same quality as the other locations and I love their dumplings! The Liang Pi and the stir fried lamb noodles are on point, not oily at all. Def will be coming here more often!
I’ve been waiting forever for a Bites of Xi’an to open in the UES. The 90th area was in dire need of a Chinese lamb/pork burger spot, and now we have one. If you get a burger, ask for the Chinese vinegar (and pour it in your burger). The doormen in my building are all hooked. Also, don’t forget to ask for one of the broth flavors in your dumplings if you get them (small text above the dumplings on the menu). If you haven’t had tomato egg noodles, get that too because what have you been doing with your life? 10/10 eating here all the time.
It’s definitely a good place to try out!! I have come here serval times. The food here was delicious. I like the spicy sour yam noodles and beef noodle soup.😍😍 Also, you can ask the cashier for any other recommendations, she’s very nice and friendly.
I’m not sure what this spicy cumin lamb is supposed to be like but I’m sure it’s not what I got tonight! No sauce! Zero! Couple of bad looking pieces of lamb! If you’re copying the other noodle place, try harder please! I had to throw it out! Disappointed!
