About Bing Mi
Welcome to Bing Mi, a distinctive Chinese Restaurant located at 2572 NW Vaughn St E in Portland, Oregon. Bing Mi offers a unique culinary experience, specializing in the popular Northern Chinese street food known as "bing," a type of savory crepe sandwich. Alongside their signature bings, Bing Mi also serves a variety of flavorful noodle dishes, dumplings, and soups, providing a diverse menu for those seeking a quick and satisfying taste of authentic Chinese cuisine in a casual setting.
Based on recent customer reviews, Bing Mi is an excellent choice for those looking for a quick and flavorful bite. The ordering process is straightforward: customers place their orders at the counter, and the food is then brought to their table. This efficient service model makes Bing Mi a convenient option for a fast lunch or dinner without compromising on taste and quality.
The star of the menu, the bing sandwiches, have been described as "quite good." These loaded crepes offer a unique and satisfying combination of textures and flavors. While one reviewer noted that the bings might be "light on the protein," the overall positive feedback suggests that they are a must-try item at Bing Mi. The variety of fillings available for the bings likely caters to different preferences, making them a versatile choice.
In addition to their signature bings, Bing Mi also offers a selection of dumplings. One customer found the dumplings to be "nice" but noted that the dough was not their personal favorite, rating them a 7/10. This indicates that while the filling and overall taste might be appealing, individual preferences for dough texture can vary. Despite this, the dumplings remain a popular side or sharing option.
The spicy noodles at Bing Mi have received mixed feedback. While one reviewer praised their "good texture and bounce," they also mentioned that the noodles "lacked a little flavor." This suggests that while the preparation and consistency of the noodles are commendable, some diners might find the flavor profile to be less intense than desired. However, this is subjective and may appeal to those who prefer a milder spice level.
Despite some minor critiques on specific dishes, the overall experience at Bing Mi has been positive for many customers. One reviewer concluded that it was a "good experience" and expressed a willingness to return if they were hungry and passing by, highlighting the convenience and general satisfaction offered by the restaurant.
Another customer who visited with a friend had a more extensive tasting and reported that the food "did not disappoint." They ordered a variety of items, including the loaded bing, beef noodles, pork dumplings, and pork wonton soup, and found them all to be "excellent." This comprehensive positive review underscores the quality and appeal of Bing Mi's diverse menu offerings.
The dining environment at Bing Mi has been described as "nicely furnished, clean, and cozy." This suggests a comfortable and inviting space to enjoy your meal, whether you're dining alone for a quick bite or with friends for a more leisurely lunch or dinner. The ambiance contributes to a positive overall experience, making Bing Mi a pleasant place to eat.
The service at Bing Mi has received generally positive feedback, with some areas for potential improvement noted. Ordering is done at the counter, which is typical for a quick-service or fast-casual establishment. One reviewer found the attendant to be "nice enough" but mentioned having to ask for certain items like ice and small plates. They suggested that the staff could be a "little more attentive" by proactively offering such items, as well as condiments like chili oil. In contrast, the lady delivering the food was noted to be more attentive. A subsequent visit by another reviewer resulted in "super" service, indicating that service quality can be consistently high.
A significant highlight for one returning customer was their craving for and enjoyment of the beef noodles soup and bing, reinforcing the popularity and deliciousness of these specific menu items. The fact that they returned specifically for these dishes speaks volumes about their quality and the satisfaction they provide.

Customer Reviews
If you’re looking for a quick bite this is your place. You order yourself at the counter and the food is brought to you. The bing sandwiches are quite good but are light on the protein. The dumplings were nice but not my favorite dough: 7/10. Finally the spicy noodles had good texture and bounce but lacked a little flavor. Overall good experience and if I’m hungry and passing by I’d go again!
I've driven by here many, many times, but today, I had a buddy with me who was up for noodles and dumplings, so we stopped by for lunch. We ordered a little bit of everything and the food did not disappoint us! It was all excellent from the loaded bing, beef noodles, pork dumplings, and pork wonton soup. We arrived and ordered right before the lunch crowd piled in. The dining area is nicely furnished, clean, and cozy. Ordering is done at the counter. The attendant was nice enough, but we had to ask for a few things like a glass of ice for our drinks and small plates for our dumplings. In that aspect, they could have been a little more attentive and to ask if we wanted chili oil, etc. The lady delivering the food was more attentive than the cashier. We had to come back as we were craving their beef noodles soup and bing! Service was super today, and the food was once again delicious!
Bing Mi is a must stop for authentic and unique Chinese food. The loaded roast duck jianbing has depth of flavor and never disappoints. If you are unsure about trying new foods this is a great place to break outside your comfort zone!
The food isn’t restaurant quality. The noodle was $15. $3 additional for not special/marinated well egg. $5 additional for tiny burned pork belly pieces. The portion wasn’t big. The flavor was bland, more so just flavor of oil. I had high expectations due to the good reviews, but from my experience, it’s not worth the money at all.
Fast and friendly service. Tried the tea eggs and vegan dumplings. Everything was good. Filling of vegan dumplings could’ve been a little more flavorful. Good texture though!
