About Big Wok Fort Mill

Welcome to Big Wok Fort Mill, a Chinese restaurant located at 1750 South Carolina 160 west, #107 in Fort Mill, South Carolina. As a Chinese restaurant serving the local community, Big Wok Fort Mill offers a variety of popular Chinese-American dishes, primarily focusing on takeout services based on available reviews, although dine-in may also be an option. The restaurant aims to provide convenient and satisfying meals for those craving familiar Chinese flavors in the Fort Mill area.

Based on customer feedback, the environment at Big Wok Fort Mill appears to be clean and well-maintained. One reviewer specifically highlighted the cleanliness of the restaurant, stating that "you can tell they take pride in their space." This suggests that Big Wok Fort Mill prioritizes hygiene and strives to create a pleasant atmosphere for customers, whether they are picking up takeout orders or dining in, if that service is available. The counter staff is also mentioned as friendly, contributing to a positive initial interaction for customers.

The primary service offered at Big Wok Fort Mill, according to the reviews, is takeout. One customer noted that while they were waiting for their takeout order, a few other individuals also came in for pickup, indicating that takeout is a popular option for this establishment. While there was no mention of anyone dining inside during one customer's visit, this does not definitively rule out the possibility of dine-in service being available at other times or under different circumstances. It is advisable to contact the restaurant directly to confirm their current service options.

The food at Big Wok Fort Mill has received mixed but generally positive feedback. One customer who ordered a variety of dishes, including orange chicken with fried rice, Mongolian beef with fried rice, crispy chicken egg rolls, and crab rangoons, described the food as "not bad" but also "not anything to write home about." The portion sizes for the orange chicken and Mongolian beef were noted as generous and "packed full." However, the orange chicken was not as crispy as expected, though it was still deemed "ok." The Mongolian beef was also described as "ok." A notable point of feedback was the fried rice, which was reported to be missing expected vegetables like carrots and peas, containing only egg and chopped white onion; it was again rated as "ok, not great." The crispy egg rolls were noted to contain only chicken without any vegetables, which was not what the customer expected, and were also rated as "ok." The crab rangoons were identified as the best part of this particular meal.

In contrast to this somewhat lukewarm review, another customer described Big Wok as a "fantastic restaurant!" This reviewer consistently praises the staff for being "super friendly and welcoming," which enhances the overall experience. They also highlight that the food is "always cooked to order, fresh, and delicious." This directly contradicts some of the points made in the other review, particularly regarding freshness and taste. This discrepancy suggests that the experience at Big Wok Fort Mill might vary, or that different customers have different expectations and palates. The second reviewer also echoes the sentiment about cleanliness and emphasizes the "great value for your money," strongly recommending that others check out Big Wok Fort Mill.

Considering both reviews, it appears that Big Wok Fort Mill offers friendly service and a clean environment. The food quality seems to be generally acceptable, with generous portion sizes. However, there might be inconsistencies in the preparation or ingredients of certain dishes, such as the lack of expected vegetables in the fried rice and egg rolls, and the crispiness of the orange chicken. On the other hand, some customers find the food to be fresh and delicious, offering good value. The crab rangoons were a highlight for one reviewer, suggesting they might be a particularly strong item on the menu.

Information regarding specific features or signature dishes at Big Wok Fort Mill is somewhat limited. The menu appears to include standard American Chinese takeout fare such as orange chicken, Mongolian beef, fried rice, and egg rolls. The positive mention of crab rangoons suggests it could be a noteworthy item. However, without a comprehensive menu or more detailed positive feedback on specific dishes, it is difficult to definitively identify signature offerings.

This was our first visit here, it has a good rating so we were excited to try it. The guy at the counter was friendly. We ordered take out. There was no one dining inside, but a few people came in for take out while we were waiting for our food to be done. The food isn’t bad, but it isn’t anything to write home about either. We got the orange chicken with fried rice, Mongolian beef with fried rice, 2 crispy chicken eggrolls, and an order of crab rangoons. The serving size of the orange chicken and beef were pretty big, and they were packed full. I was hoping the orange chicken would be a little crispy, they weren’t, but it was still ok. The Mongolian beef was ok. The fried rice was missing vegetables. We expected carrots and peas, but there was just egg and chopped white onion. Again, it was ok, not great. The crispy egg roll was just chicken, no veggies either, like we were expecting. Was ok. The crab rangoons I think were the best part of the meal. Overall, I will try other Chinese restaurants the next time we want Chinese.

Big Wok is our go-to spot for our weekly Chinese food craving! The hunan bean curd is a great vegetarian option with perfect amount of sweetness and spices. Kids love their brocoli and tofu! Host is the nicest person on planet. I have never had a restaurant call me back because they missed my call. I was surprised and asked, I thought you are closed and he said, "you are still hungry, aren't you?" Great local spot and wonderful people!!!

Out of the almost 60$ worth of food i just bought the only part of it my family and I enjoyed was the Lo-mein & even it was super dry! We ordered : Bourbon Chicken with Lo-Mein, Beef & Broccoli with Fried Rice & 2 Egg Rolls. Let me start by saying i would have gotten more joy setting my 60$ on fire than i did from eating this meal! The Bourbon chicken tasted like the teriyaki chicken on a stick (wasnt that great at all) lo-mein was dry (but the only thing that actually got eatin) Beef & Broccoli was absolutely DISGUSTING it was Slimy & the vegetables weren’t cooked at all what so ever! I expected to get fried rice as I know I paid extra for it and what i got was white rice with eggs, NO VEGETABLES AT ALL! Also, usually fried rice is got a Brown fried tint to it this was 100% white rice! & both of the egg rolls were hard as a rock!!! I didn’t want to waste my money at red bowl due to the same exact reason, and I ended up wasting more money than I would’ve spent at Red Bowl… (at least my eggrolls would’ve been on point) I’m super disappointed!!! this was the second time we’ve given this place a chance and it will definitely be the last time!!! This food is 100% over price for the quality!!!? I was truly hoping to be giving them a good review this evening, but as you can see…
