Customer Reviews
I came here from Boston on recommendation of my friend. The Food: The Haleem was excellent. The Jedipappu Kodi was too good, crispy on outside and soft inside. The Biryani was good. The Service: The food arrived in right chronological order and hot. The thing I liked the most was the honesty of the restaurant owner/manager. I would have ordered too much food, he suggested that what I ordered would be enough for me and my fiance. Such a gem of a person.
We had an amazing dining experience at Bhog! The food quality is superb, with rich flavors and authentic spices that make every dish stand out. Despite the high quality, the rates are very reasonable, making it a great place for a satisfying yet affordable meal. The service was exceptional, with the staff being friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great Indian dining experience! We’ll definitely be back.
Bhog Multi-Cuisine Indian restaurant offers a mixed experience with its good atmosphere and staff, but the inconsistency in taste and some of the dishes left room for improvement. While there were certainly some delicious moments, other aspects fell short of expectations. It’s a decent spot for Indian cuisine in Rocky Hill, but there are areas that could benefit from a bit of refinement. Buffet need improvement in dish selection especially for vegetarian food. Weekend buffet price not worth for vegetarians. No soup with common and cold vegetarian appetizers(Samosa, Idli, Gobi manchurian), limited veg. curries(Aloo gobi, Paneer tikka masala, Dal tadka), extra spicy veg. biryani, cold naan with just one dessert (Vermicelli kheer) is not worthy to its price - 19.99$. Less recommended for buffets as compared to other Indian restaurants in Hartford and nearby areas. P.S. Ordered mild spicy biryani for takeout, still got same hot spicy biryani.
I had a very disappointing experience at Bhog Indian Restaurant when visiting for dinner after the Holi celebration. As vegetarians, we found very limited and unimpressive options on the menu, and the food quality was below expectations. However, what was truly unacceptable was the way we were treated. Just because we had Holi colors on our clothes, the staff refused to let us sit on the sofa, stating, "Don't allow us to sit on the sofa because of colors and everything." This was not only disrespectful but also humiliating, as it happened in front of other customers. Holi is a festival of joy and inclusivity, and such behavior was completely unprofessional and discriminatory. A restaurant should focus on hospitality and customer service, but Bhog Indian Restaurant failed in both aspects. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming dining experience.
I would not recommend this restaurant to any vegetarian. Not all vegetarian dishes are good. They don't know how to make them. I would rather make them at home than go to this restaurant.
