About Best China Wok

Best China Wok is a Chinese restaurant located at 825 E Chestnut St, Lancaster, PA 17602, USA. You can reach them at (717) 393-4334 or their mobile number +1 717-393-4334. As a local Chinese restaurant, Best China Wok offers a range of Chinese cuisine options for those in the Lancaster area.

Based on recent customer feedback, experiences appear to vary. One customer mentioned that while the General Tso's chicken was enjoyable, describing it as sweet and soft with a generous portion size, the plain lo mein was unsatisfactory, tasting of fryer oil and ultimately being discarded. The pork fried rice was described as average. This customer also noted a smoky, oily smell within the restaurant during pickup and suggested sticking to main dishes like the General Tso's if ordering again. The politeness of the staff member at the register was a positive point.

In contrast, another customer reported a negative experience with the chicken broccoli and house special fried rice, citing a lack of flavor in the rice and an unusual taste in the chicken. This customer became ill after consuming the food and strongly advised caution when ordering, indicating they would not return.

It's important for local users to consider these recent experiences when deciding whether to patronize Best China Wok. While some dishes like the General Tso's chicken may be well-received, there are concerns raised about the flavor and quality of other items, as well as potential issues with food safety and the restaurant environment. We encourage you to consider these factors and perhaps try a specific dish based on positive feedback, or explore other Chinese restaurant options in the Lancaster area to ensure a satisfactory dining experience.

This place doesn’t have bad Chinese, but not the greatest. I got the General tso combo meal that came with pork fried rice and a veggie egg roll. I also got a side of plain lo mein. The general tso was the best part…it was sweet and soft and the portion size was nice. The fried rice was your run of the mill fried rice, nothing special but nothing notably bad. I will say the lo mein was not great. It tasted like fryer oil, and I ended up tossing it out after 2 bites. When I went to pick up my food, the whole restaurant was smoky and smelled like oil. Maybe something happened before I got there. If I were to order from there again, I would probably just stick to the general tso or maybe one of the other main dishes. I will say though that the man ringing me out was very polite.

I ordered the chicken broccoli with house special fried rice for pickup. When I actually started eating the food, i noticed that there was barely any flavor on the rice and the chicken tasted different. I took a couple of bites before throwing it out. The morning after I woke up throwing up and having all symptoms of a stomach bug. Be very cautious about what you order, or just don’t order at all. Definitely won’t be back after this!!!!!!!!!!

Everything is great but I think their dining area should be updated and it seems like they're limited for space for their inventory and supplies other than that they're great

Got take out for the first time and the food was good, exactly what you expect from Chinese take out. General Tos chicken is flavorful and not spicy, even when the hot option was selected. Sweet and sour chicken had a good crisp to it. Can also recommend the veggie lo mein and garlic broccoli. I was not a fan of the Mongolian beef. The flavor was nothing special.
