About Best China

Best China is a Chinese restaurant situated at 9601 Brookdale Dr Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28215, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Best China offers a variety of Chinese dishes, primarily focusing on takeout service, as indicated by customer reviews. They can be contacted at (704) 494-3944 or +1 704-494-3944 for placing orders or inquiries.

Based on recent online feedback from customers, experiences at Best China appear to be mixed, with notable mentions regarding both the food quality and the customer service. One customer who received a takeout order described the food as "pretty decent & hot upon arrival." They specifically mentioned that the chicken was crispy but had an unusual taste due to the frying method. While the packaging was noted to be good, this customer felt that the presentation of the food was better than its actual taste. They also pointed out an imbalance in their beef and broccoli dish, which contained more broccoli than beef, and noted that the teriyaki chicken on a stick lacked any discernible teriyaki flavor. Despite these criticisms, this reviewer acknowledged that Best China could be a suitable option for those seeking a quick meal.

In stark contrast to the somewhat neutral feedback on the food, another customer reported a significantly negative experience with the customer service. This review detailed an encounter with a staff member named Matthew behind the register, whom the customer described as "very rude and condescending." The incident occurred between 9:20 PM and 9:25 PM when the customer attempted to place an order. They were allegedly told that the restaurant was closed, even though the closing time posted on the door was 9:30 PM. When the customer pointed this out, Matthew reportedly stated abruptly that they stop taking orders at 9:15 PM, a policy not mentioned on the signage. The customer, new to the area, expressed their frustration at this lack of clear communication.

The negative experience continued when the customer asked for the manager's or owner's phone number. Matthew allegedly refused to provide this information, stating there was no one to give it to. When the customer inquired with another Chinese gentleman present who was on his phone if a manager was available, Matthew reportedly claimed that the other person did not speak English. Further requests for contact information for the owner or manager were met with the same response. Matthew then allegedly told the customer that the owner would be in at lunchtime the following day and suggested they return then, doing so in a rude manner. The customer also noted that the "open" sign was still illuminated and the door was unlocked at the time of this interaction, implying the business was still open for customers.

This customer, identifying themselves as Lance, expressed their intention to choose a different Chinese restaurant in the future due to this poor treatment and the perceived mismanagement of the establishment, particularly by representatives like Matthew. They stated they would give "0" stars if possible, emphasizing the negative impact of Matthew's demeanor, attitude, and unprofessionalism on potential business and revenue. This detailed account strongly suggests a significant issue with customer service at Best China, at least in this particular instance.

Considering these two recent reviews, Best China appears to be a Chinese restaurant in Charlotte, NC, that offers takeout food which is described as decent and hot upon arrival, although some dishes may have issues with taste and ingredient balance. However, a serious concern has been raised regarding the rudeness and unprofessionalism of at least one staff member, which led to a very negative experience for a potential new customer. This suggests that while the food might be acceptable for a quick meal, the customer service could be inconsistent and potentially off-putting.

For local users in Charlotte seeking a Chinese restaurant, Best China is an option to consider, particularly if convenience and speed are priorities. However, potential customers should be aware of the reported issues with food quality in certain dishes and the significant negative feedback regarding customer service. The discrepancy between the posted closing time and the alleged policy of stopping orders earlier, coupled with the unhelpful and rude behavior of the staff member as described, raises concerns about the overall customer experience at this establishment.

As a platform providing information on Chinese Restaurants, our aim is to present an objective view based on available feedback. The reviews for Best China highlight both potential positives (decent, hot food for takeout) and significant negatives (poor customer service, potential inconsistencies in food quality and preparation). Local residents might want to weigh these factors carefully before deciding to patronize Best China. If customer service is a high priority, the reported experience could be a significant deterrent. If a quick takeout option is the primary need, and one is willing to potentially overlook inconsistencies in food and risk a negative interaction, Best China might still be considered. However, exploring other Chinese restaurants in the Charlotte area with more consistently positive reviews, especially regarding service, might be a prudent alternative.

In conclusion, Best China in Charlotte, NC, offers Chinese takeout food that has been described as decent and hot, but with potential issues in taste and ingredient balance. A significant concern is the reported rude and unprofessional customer service experienced by at least one potential customer. Local users should consider these points when deciding whether to order from Best China. The negative feedback regarding service, in particular, warrants caution and might prompt potential customers to explore other options for Chinese cuisine in the area.

Food was pretty decent & hot upon arrival. The chicken was crispy but however it was fried, gave it a weird taste. Everything was well packaged but the presentation was better than the taste. The beef & broccoli had more broccoli in it than beef & the teriyaki chicken on a stick didn’t have any teriyaki flavor at all. If you want something quick, this is the place.

Matthew gentleman behind the register was very rude and condescending. I walked in between 9:20 PM and 9:25 PM to order food no sooner than got in the door he says we are closed as he was shutting the cash register. I told him the sign on the door says 9:30 pm is closing time, Matthew then said well we stop taking orders at 9:15 PM very abruptly, I informed signage says nothing like that and as new customer to area how should I know not a mind reader. I asked for managers or owner’s phone number. Matthew said there is no one to give the number to there was a Chinese gentleman standing beside him on his phone asked him if there was a manager in. Matthew says he doesn’t speak any English asked again for an owner or manager’s number. Matthew said there is no one to give the number for to contact asked when the owner would be there Matthew said lunchtime tomorrow you could just come back then very rudely. I let him know that he still had the open sign on the door was still unlocked so as far as that means, the business is still open and they should be waiting on customers I would think twice before getting anything from this establishment I can see by their reviews. They’re not a good business anyway but the way they treat your customers I can see why customers leave these bad reviews. My name is Lance., considering you can’t reach anyone to talk to to let them know how their business is being run into the ground by bad representatives like Matthew would definitely choose a different Chinese restaurant to enjoy over this poorly run and managed one. Would give “0” stars if could due to Matthew and the way he treats and speaks to someone. In this day and age of reviewing businesses and people looking at them to see if they should spend hard earned money with them you would think they would do their best to treat customers in a more professional and nice way. Matthew should not be representing their company with his demeanor, attitude and unprofessionalism, Matthew causes loss of revenue and business.

We have been going here for over ten years. It's cozy with only one server and has a modern decor with some Chinese elements thrown in. The food is good both at lunch and dinner. We were here today for dinner. I usually get pepper steak with onion and it's my favorite, but I tried the Sasha shrimp and it was good. Sanitation grade could be better, it's 95 and my limit for eating anywhere. If you like Chinese, give it a try, I think you'll like it.

Solid.. Good Chinese food. It's definitely one of the best I've had in the 4 years living in NC. I've been here a handful of times & they have not disappointed me.

They always accommodate my special requests. They are fast and the food is always hot and delicious! I usually order the Kon Pao Chicken but don't like the veggies it comes with, so they allow me to substitute what I want at no extra charge. Their housemade duck sauce is also delicious and the only duck sauce I eat.
