About Best BBQ Chinese Food

Best BBQ Chinese Food is a Chinese restaurant located at 180 Greenhouse Marketplace in San Leandro, California. While the name suggests a specialization in barbecue Chinese cuisine, recent customer reviews provide a critical perspective on the overall dining experience. This introduction aims to present an objective summary of the restaurant based on the available feedback, highlighting both potential positives and significant concerns raised by patrons.

One recurring positive mention in the reviews is the BBQ Pork and Duck. One long-time visitor noted that these are the only items they genuinely enjoy at the establishment. This suggests that Best BBQ Chinese Food may have some strength in its barbecue offerings, particularly these two specific meats. For local users specifically seeking BBQ pork or duck, this restaurant might be worth considering, keeping in mind the broader context of other reviews.

However, the majority of the recent feedback expresses significant dissatisfaction with the quality and taste of the other dishes. One reviewer described their two-item dinner, featuring fried beef rice and bean chicken, as "tasteless" and of poor quality. The fried beef rice was characterized as "hard like eating sand," and the bean chicken was described as "cold greasy and not a bit of flavor." Even the BBQ pork, which was mentioned as a highlight by another reviewer, was deemed "worse" in this instance – "cold dry hard to chew bland pork." This inconsistency in the quality of even the supposedly standout items raises concerns about overall food preparation and consistency.

The same reviewer also mentioned a "happy hour" at 4 pm offering discounted "hot pans of Asian food that has been sitting out all day for a bit of a discount." This description raises serious questions about food freshness and safety, as food left out for extended periods can pose health risks. The reviewer strongly advised against this option, suggesting a potential compromise on food quality for the sake of a lower price during this time.

Another customer echoed the negative sentiments, describing their experience as entirely unsatisfactory. They found the fried rice to be dry, the vegetables and fried fish to be flavorless, and the orange chicken to be "inedible," with a taste that made them fear illness. This extremely negative feedback underscores significant issues with the flavor and potentially the safety of some of the dishes offered at Best BBQ Chinese Food. This reviewer stated that all the food they ordered ended up in the trash, indicating a complete lack of satisfaction.

The stark contrast between the positive mention of the BBQ pork and duck and the overwhelmingly negative reviews of other dishes suggests a significant inconsistency in food quality across the menu. While some specific items might be palatable, the majority of the feedback points to widespread problems with blandness, poor texture, incorrect temperature, and potentially unsafe food quality.

Regarding the environment and services, the provided information and reviews do not offer any specific details. There are no comments on the restaurant's ambiance, cleanliness, or the attentiveness of the staff, beyond the issues related to food quality and preparation. Therefore, it is not possible to provide an objective assessment of these aspects based solely on the available customer feedback. Local users seeking information about the dining environment or service standards would need to look for additional reviews or perhaps visit the location to form their own opinion.

Similarly, there is no mention of any specific features or promotional information for Best BBQ Chinese Food in the provided reviews. Customers have focused primarily on their experiences with the food itself. Therefore, information regarding unique selling points, special offers, or loyalty programs is currently unavailable based on this data.

In conclusion, while Best BBQ Chinese Food in San Leandro is mentioned to have potentially good BBQ pork and duck, the overwhelming majority of recent customer reviews express significant concerns about the quality and flavor of other dishes, including fried rice, bean chicken, and orange chicken. Issues such as blandness, poor texture, cold food, and potentially unsafe practices like discounted food that has been sitting out have been reported. Based on this feedback, local users should exercise caution and consider these serious concerns when deciding whether to dine at Best BBQ Chinese Food. It is recommended to seek more up-to-date and comprehensive reviews before making a decision.

I have visited this hot plate place over the years and always forget why I don't come here much = I do like the BBQ Pork and Duck - and that is all. each of their buckets of food is very bland and taste less - Covid Summer 2020 I had a two item dish dinner - Fried beef rice that was tasteless and hard like eating sand, Bean Chicken cold greasy and not a bit of flavor = The BBQ should have been the highlight but it is the worse - cold dry hard to chew bland pork - I asked for some sweet and sour pack and that added the flavor. Price for this cold plate of food - 9.00 - yes as you see in the pics the food glows with color and looks great . But trust me its cold and has no flavor. At 4pm they have a happy hours for 4.99 - this means you are welcome to some hot pans of Asian food that has been sitting out all day for a bit of a discount - Avoid this one -- try the Noodles next door or Hawaiian fast food next door --

The fried rice was dry, the veggies and fried fish had no flavor, and the orange chicken ... oh man the orange chicken. That ... thing ... tasted like it can make you very sick. It is inedible! It all went in the trash. If you are the owner of this establishment, please routinely check the quality of your food.

Not to clean. No money and hungry? go there. I seen a customer drop a box with 6 dumplings, two of them fell on the ground the cashier just place them back into the box and place the box again for sale There is no napkins in the dispensers, the salt and pepper shakers haven't been clean since they bought them.
