Although him cooking us the best shrimp and steak we’ve ever had vladimir gave me and my family an unforgettable experience. He was a very funny and charming guy for our table making jokes, playing games and providing us the best food as well. The service was amazing as well. We had the sweetest waitress, lauren who provided amazing service and was a very friendly and sweet girl!! I be returning to benihana in carlsbad real soon!!

Marco was an amazing cook! Super talented, he even made a unicorn with our fried rice! It’s always a great experience coming here, but Marco made it 10x better! Our server was super friendly and accommodating, he was amazing too!

WOW!!! What a wonderful experience my family had last night! Trevor was our chef and he was OUTSTANDING!!!😁 His skill with his utensils, his funny jokes, his great cooking- All awesome! He made us all feel right at home! But what impressed us most was his authenticity- We all loved talking with him, learning a little about him as well- He has been there 12 years! We called his manager, Brett, over to sing his praises- He had wonderful things to say about him as well and even shared a bit about the restaurant- Brett was lovely and very much appreciated us taking the time to pull him over before we left. It was very apparent he has worked hard to get the best crew together over the years and he has done an amazing job! Now I certainly can't leave this review without mentioning our server, Valentino! He was personable and friendly, always attentive to our table, keeping our drinks full, among other things. He even pulled a Chef from another table so I had a threesome singing their fun rendition of Happy Birthday! All in all, I can't recommend this location of Benihana's highly enough! Do yourself a favor and enjoy this experience!!

This was one of my best experiences at Benihanas. There was a wait because they for our reservations. They were backed up but everyone on the staff was great. Marco was the best chef I have had here. I thought I’ve seen all the tricks here but I was wrong. He made a unicorn with the rice and it blew us away. I have never seen that in my life and I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. He went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one. Marco thank you for making our night. Our family thanks you. If you are ever in this location I highly recommend asking for Marco to be your chef. Will be back and hope to see Marco again.

Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Food gets a 0 because after 2 hours of waiting we never got any food except the soup and salad. We had a reservation at 7pm, the front desk said they were running a bit behind. This was a lie but we did not realize it. After 35 minutes, we we seated. I ordered the Benihana special Sake, which was sour and undrinkable. Had to send it back. Then we waited. And waited. No chef. After 40 minutes, we complained to the manager. He really seemed not to care. Another 30 minutes goes by. No chef. We Then complained again and the waitress told us there were 2 to 3 tables ahead of us and we had to wait further. We did not. At 9:20 pm, we asked for the check for the drinks and walked out. Food gets a 0 because we never got any except the soup and the small salad.
