About Beijing Wok Chinese Restaurant

Beijing Wok Chinese Restaurant, located in Austin, has recently received critical feedback from customers regarding the quality of its food. Based on recent reviews, potential diners should be aware of some concerns raised.

Multiple reviewers described the food as very bland and suffering from issues such as being overcooked or potentially reheated, leading to a hard-to-chew texture. One customer who ordered the General Tso Chicken found it to be "pretty bad," and their egg roll was described as overcooked and slightly burned. While one reviewer found the hot and sour soup to be good, they also reported stomach issues afterward.

Another customer's experience was overwhelmingly negative, stating that the hot and sour soup was the only acceptable item in their order. They found the fried rice, chicken lo-mein, beef and broccoli, and Szechuan chicken to be "horrendous." A significant complaint was the overly tenderized texture of the beef and poultry, described as mushy, and a lack of taste in the food, which was perceived as being excessively oily. This customer expressed significant disappointment with their meal.

In summary, recent customer reviews for Beijing Wok Chinese Restaurant in Austin indicate significant concerns about the blandness, texture (overcooked or mushy), and overall quality of several dishes, including popular items like General Tso Chicken, fried rice, and lo-mein. While the hot and sour soup received some positive mention, these reviews suggest a need for caution when considering this dining option.

Wow I didn’t believe the reviews, they are true. Food is very bland and either over cooked or it’s old and warmed up with the microwave. Hard to chew! Ordered the General Tso Chicken. Pretty bad. Egg roll was over cooked and burned a little. Hot & Sour soup was good. Now my stomach is bubbling!!!!

The only thing good from my order was the hot and sour soup. I also ordered fried rice, chicken lo-mein, beef and broccoli and szechuan chicken, all of it was horrendous. The beef and poultry are overly tenderized to the point of mush. There is not taste in the food except oil. So very disappointed.

READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING!!!! This was by far the worst food I have ever eaten. Not only was some of the chicken under cooked . But it had zero flavor. Some pieces tasted hard and like they have been sitting out all day. It absolutely did not taste fresh. My order took way longer than expected as well. A complete and utter disappointment and i will not reccomend anyone else eat here. I only ate about 4 pieces of chicken and i am already starting to feel sick to my stomach. Food was hard and cold as well!!You guys need to be inspected by a health inspector or whatever city food inspector there is. I will surely be complaining and making a report to this establishment. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!

Sweet and sour chicken was too hard and too dry to eat and the sweet and sour sauce must have been fresh out of the fridge because it was cold. And the spring roll was made using very low quality products. .... Threw it all away after a couple bites.. ordered thru UberEats on 7/9/22 around 830pm.

This place was swamped Christmas Day. We got our online order 2 hours later than estimated. The worst part was the restaurant was still taking phone orders and promising food would be ready in 30 minutes, knowing it would be at least an hour and a half at best. The dishonesty on Christmas Day grinds my gears more than anything else. Merry Christmas!!
