About Beijing Restaurant

Beijing Restaurant, located at 502 Elm Ave, Roanoke, VA 24013, USA, serves as a local establishment offering Chinese cuisine to the Roanoke community. As a categorized "Chinese Restaurant," Beijing Restaurant aims to provide a range of dishes for dine-in and takeout customers. This introduction seeks to offer an objective overview of the restaurant based on recent customer feedback available online.

One customer highlighted the value offered by the half chicken order, which included two side dishes and tortillas, all at a reasonable price point. This customer also noted the generous portion size, suggesting it could serve two people or a single individual with a hearty appetite. An additional service mentioned was the convenience of having the order brought directly to the customer's vehicle.

However, other customer experiences present a contrasting perspective on the restaurant. One review described the food as "exceptionally bland," specifically mentioning the Hunan beef dish. According to this customer, the Hunan beef primarily consisted of broccoli, carrots, and cabbage, accompanied by beef that lacked significant flavor. The reviewer explicitly stated the absence of seasoning on both the meat and the vegetables, emphasizing this point strongly.

This particular customer also reported issues with the ordering process. They stated that they did not receive an estimated pickup time or the total price at the time of ordering, and were not asked for a name or any identifying information for the order. This lack of communication and procedural detail during the ordering process was a point of concern for this reviewer.

Acknowledging the mixed feedback, the same reviewer referenced other online reviews, suggesting a potential inconsistency in the restaurant's food preparation and service, implying that experiences may vary.

Another customer provided a rating based on specific aspects of their experience. They awarded one star for the affordability of the food, one star for the temperature of the food upon receipt (noting it was hot), and one star for the perceived autonomy of the kitchen staff in their food preparation approach. Conversely, this reviewer gave zero stars for the overall quality of the food.

Based on the available customer reviews, it appears that Beijing Restaurant offers competitively priced food, with at least one customer finding the portion size of the half chicken to be generous and the value to be good. The convenience of curbside delivery was also noted as a positive service aspect.

However, a significant concern raised by other customers pertains to the flavor profile of the dishes, with one reviewer explicitly describing a lack of seasoning in the Hunan beef. Furthermore, there were reports of a disorganized ordering process, including the absence of essential information such as pickup time and price, as well as a lack of customer identification during the order placement.

Given the limited information regarding the restaurant's environment and specific features beyond the food itself, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive description of these aspects. The reviews primarily focus on the food quality and certain aspects of the service, particularly the ordering and delivery experience.

No specific promotional information was included in the provided data. Therefore, local users interested in potential discounts or special offers are advised to contact Beijing Restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers: (540) 266-7662 or +1 540-266-7662.

In conclusion, Beijing Restaurant in Roanoke, VA, presents a mixed picture based on recent online reviews. While some customers have appreciated the affordability and portion sizes, particularly with the half chicken meal, significant concerns have been raised regarding the flavor of certain dishes, specifically a lack of seasoning. Additionally, the ordering process has been cited as needing improvement in terms of communication and organization. Potential local users are encouraged to consider these varying experiences when making their dining decisions and may wish to inquire directly with the restaurant for the most up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any ongoing promotions.

I got the half chicken. The order came with two sides and tortillas for a very reasonable price. It's enough food for two if you want to stretch it, or if you're feeling like a slob you can house it by yourself. They even brought it out to me in my truck!

Exceptionally bland. When I ordered, I got no time when to pick up, no price, and I wasn't asked for a name or anything for the order. My hunan beef was basically broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and some of the least flavorful beef I've ever tasted. See attached photo. There is absolutely no seasoning on the meat, let alone the vegetables. I cannot stress this enough: NO SEASONING AT ALL. Based on the other reviews I've read, they make it up as they go along. At least it wasn't expensive. So one star for being cheap, and one star for being hot, and one star for them doing whatever the heck they want. But zero stars for quality.

If I could give this place no stars I definitely would. I don't know how this place stays in business seems a little sus to me. The food taste awful. You get exactly what you pay for. The price is low and you get the biggest portions I have ever seen coming out of a restaurant. I live pretty close and I never see them have any business so you won't have to wait in line. They share a building with Southwest Market. Most of the cars are from the convenience store. Inside looks scary. It's low lighting and seems kinda damp. Kinda like a basement or a dungeon. If your looking for Chinese food go else where your guts will thank me.

I've been eating from Beijing about twice a week for the last month. It is our office's go-to. They never fail to impress. My favorite thing about them is their portions. I feel insulted by any other restaurant who doesn't give me the portions they do. Efficient staff. Friendly service.
