About Beijing Restaurant

Beijing Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 452 E College Ave, State College, PA 16801, USA. They can be contacted at (814) 278-7560 or via their mobile number, +1 814-278-7560. Based on the limited recent customer feedback available, the experiences at Beijing Restaurant appear to be varied, with one positive yet somewhat general comment contrasted by a specific and highly negative report regarding order accuracy and customer service.

One reviewer described Beijing Restaurant as "decently priced" and offering "decent food," concluding with a positive inclination to "go again!" This suggests that for some customers, Beijing Restaurant provides a satisfactory dining experience that is reasonably affordable. The term "decent" implies an average level of quality in both price and food, which might appeal to those seeking a no-frills Chinese meal without high expectations.

However, another customer reported a significantly negative experience that raises concerns about order accuracy and the restaurant's handling of mistakes. This reviewer ordered roast pork mei fun with specific instructions to exclude mushrooms and onions due to personal preference. Instead of receiving the ordered dish, they reported receiving only greasy noodles that were "loaded with mushrooms and onions" and, crucially, contained "NO PORK," the main ingredient of the dish they ordered. This indicates a significant error in the preparation of the meal, especially considering the explicit dietary requests made.

The negative experience was compounded by the customer's attempt to rectify the situation. Upon calling the restaurant to inquire about the incorrect order, they were reportedly told that the restaurant had "no record of the order." This response is particularly troubling as it suggests a lack of accountability or an issue with their order-taking or tracking system. The customer's disappointment is palpable, especially given the significant discrepancy between what was ordered and what was received.

The stark contrast between these two reviews makes it difficult to form a definitive overall assessment of Beijing Restaurant. The positive review suggests a generally acceptable experience, while the negative review points to potentially serious issues with order fulfillment and customer service. It is possible that the quality and accuracy of orders can vary, or that the negative experience was an isolated incident. However, the severity of the error – missing the main ingredient and including explicitly excluded items – is a significant concern for any potential customer with dietary restrictions or specific preferences.

The limited information available does not provide any insights into the restaurant's environment or ambiance for dine-in customers. Similarly, there are no details regarding additional services such as delivery options beyond takeout, or any special features or promotions that Beijing Restaurant might offer. Therefore, a comprehensive introduction based solely on this information must focus on the conflicting customer experiences regarding food quality, order accuracy, and customer service.

For local users in State College considering Beijing Restaurant, it would be prudent to be aware of the potential for order inaccuracies, especially if you have any dietary restrictions or specific requests. While one customer found the food and prices to be decent, the other's experience highlights a significant failure in fulfilling a specific order and a lack of resolution when the issue was raised. If you choose to order from Beijing Restaurant, it might be advisable to double-check your order carefully before leaving the premises or accepting delivery, and to be prepared to address any discrepancies promptly.

In conclusion, Beijing Restaurant in State College, PA, is a Chinese restaurant that has received mixed recent feedback. One customer found it to be decently priced with decent food and would consider returning. However, another customer experienced a significant error with their takeout order, receiving a dish that not only contained explicitly excluded ingredients but also lacked the main ingredient, and reported unsatisfactory customer service when attempting to resolve the issue. Potential customers should consider these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to patronize Beijing Restaurant. If ordering with specific modifications, it would be wise to ensure clear communication and verification of the order before completion.

Consistently provides high quality dishes at a reasonable price - we're never nervous to try something new each time we order. Even through delivery, our food arrives warm and delicious! 10/10 will do it again... and again... and again!

I don’t think there was anything special with this place. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the best either. The meat and veggies were solid, but the rice was pretty bland and loaded with onions. There are a lot of other places in the area that are worth going to over Beijing.
