About Beijing Palace Restaurant

Beijing Palace Restaurant, located at 15200 Jog Rd # C1 in Delray Beach, Florida, serves as a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, providing a variety of Asian-inspired dishes to the community. Situated in Delray Beach, FL 33446, USA, Beijing Palace Restaurant can be contacted at (561) 637-1686 or via their mobile number +1 561-637-1686 for inquiries or to place orders. Customer reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the dining experience at Beijing Palace Restaurant, highlighting both areas of satisfaction and concern for potential local diners.

One review describes a first-time dining experience that was largely negative. The customer ordered General Taos Chicken (requesting extra spice), an egg roll, egg drop soup, and white rice. They found the egg roll to be lacking in flavor and having a "mealy texture," eating only half of it. The General Taos Chicken was also described as bland, missing any significant hot or sweet elements. The reviewer speculated that the restaurant caters to a senior clientele, as their daughter's Honey Garlic chicken also lacked flavor. While the reviewer could not recall the specific dish their wife ordered, they noted that she found it flavorful and was happy with it, although she felt the portion size was small, a sentiment the reviewer agreed with. A significant concern raised in this review was the hygiene of an employee who was observed picking his nose and then assisting with tasks like refilling water without washing his hands. Despite acknowledging that the servers were nice and the service was quick, this negative experience, particularly the hygiene issue, led to a firm decision not to return to Beijing Palace Restaurant.

In contrast, another customer shared a very positive experience, expressing pleasant surprise with their meal. They found the vegetables to be "fresh and clean," the chicken "juicy and cooked perfectly," and the shrimp "plump and also cooked perfectly." This reviewer noted that the dishes were mild but very pleasant, and they appreciated that nothing was greasy or overcooked, drawing a favorable comparison to Chinese food they had experienced in North Carolina and finding it closer in style to Boston Chinese food, which they enjoyed. This positive experience led them to state their intention to return on their next visit to town. They also specifically recommended purchasing the restaurant's homemade duck sauce and mustard, suggesting these are noteworthy items.

Considering these two reviews, the perception of Beijing Palace Restaurant appears to be quite polarized. One customer experienced significant issues with the flavor of multiple dishes, portion size of one dish, and a concerning lack of hygiene from a staff member, leading to a strong negative impression. The other customer found the food to be fresh, well-cooked, and flavorful (albeit mild), expressing a desire to return and recommending specific homemade condiments. This disparity suggests that the quality and flavor profile of dishes might vary, or that different customers have different preferences and expectations.

The reviews offer limited information about the environment of Beijing Palace Restaurant. The mention of a counter and an employee stepping out to help with water suggests a casual setting, possibly with a takeout counter area and a separate dining space. However, there are no descriptive details about the decor, ambiance, or size of the restaurant. Therefore, local users should likely expect a standard, unpretentious Chinese restaurant setting.

Similarly, the reviews primarily focus on the dine-in and potentially takeout food quality and service. While one review mentions ordering, implying takeout is an option, there is no detailed information about the range of services offered. It is unclear if Beijing Palace Restaurant provides delivery or catering services. The positive reviewer's mention of purchasing homemade duck sauce and mustard suggests that they offer these items for sale, possibly for takeout customers as well.

Finally, there is no mention of any specific promotional offers or discounts in the provided customer feedback. It is common for restaurants to have lunch specials, early bird discounts, or other promotions, but no such information is available for Beijing Palace Restaurant based on these reviews. Local users interested in potential deals would need to contact the restaurant directly or check local advertising.

In conclusion, Beijing Palace Restaurant in Delray Beach, FL, is a Chinese restaurant that has received both negative and positive feedback from recent customers. While one diner experienced bland food, small portions, and a hygiene concern, leading to a strong disinclination to return, another found the food to be fresh, well-cooked, and enjoyable, with a recommendation for their homemade sauces. This suggests that the quality of dishes and the overall dining experience may be inconsistent or that different aspects appeal to different individuals. The restaurant appears to offer both dine-in and takeout services, and they sell homemade duck sauce and mustard. However, details about the environment, the full range of services, and any current promotions are not available in these reviews. Local users considering Beijing Palace Restaurant should weigh these contrasting experiences and may want to try it themselves to form their own opinion.

First time diners. I had the General Taos Chicken, asked for it to be extra spicy, egg roll, egg drop soup and white rice. I ate half the egg roll, zero flavor, mealy texture. The General Taos lacked flavor. Nothing hot, nothing sweet, just bland. It clearly appears they cater to the senior crowd as my daughter’s Honey Garlic chicken also lacked flavor. I can’t remember what my wife ate, it was flavorful, she was happy with it, just said there was not much of it and I agree her portion was very small. The guy who was behind the counter and stepped out to help with water and such kept picking his nose and wiping his nose with his fingers. Zero chance we will go back. The serves were nice and service was quick.

I must say I was so pleasantly surprised. The veggies we fresh and clean...the chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly...the shrimps plump and also cooked perfectly. The dishes were mild but very pleasan...nothing was greasy or over cooked like we get in nc. It was closer to Boston chinese food which is where we came to love chinese food! I will go there again next time in town. I also recommend the purchase of their homemade duck sauce and mustard!

To be fair, we got takeout at 730 on a Saturday. However, that is no excuse for bland, near tasteless food. We had heard good things about this place and felt the 30 minute drive was worth it We were very disappointed. General tsao was soggy and had little flavor. Fried rice was also flavorless. Chicken and broccoli was undercooked and near inedible. Shrimp in southern style lobster sauce was gummy and had no taste. There were plenty of shrimp. Wonton soup was blah. Moo Goo Gai Pan was good to very good as was the beef and vegetables. Crab Rangoon excellent. Lo main acceptable, but just bearly Egg drop soup flavorless. Little packets of mustard were not hot and packets of duck sauce just sugary. I will not be going back and cannot record this place for Chinese food. There are better choices

Ordered food from here on door dash and it's completely flavorless and the meat tasted bad, more importantly I was not given any utensils to eat my food with and I am not able to access any where i am. When I called to let them know that I'm experiencing with their food and their lack of proper preparation for a take out or the guy on the phone became very condescending and rude saying "oh wow that's crazy" repeatedly and then stated that I should have requested silverware when I placed the order. I have never in 5 years requested silverware with an order it comes to me with the things I would need to enjoy my meal. When I asked to speak to the manager, I could here the manager in the background saying that she is not available and then he continued to be insulting to me over the phone. Avoid this place at all cost. Restaurants close all the time and I hope this one is next.

The staff and waitress were very hospitable. Fresh soup noodles.(most places they are stale). There was plenty of duck sauce available. Hot tea included, which is rare these days. The water tasted good and probably filtered. The main dishes were fresh and tasty. Usual ice cream fortune cookie desert. Unfortunately, the SOUP water tasted tainted and inedible and awful. I would suggest filtering that water, too! Otherwise, I would give this place a much better rating.
