About Beijing

Beijing is a Chinese Restaurant located at 12895 US-90 in Luling, Louisiana, serving the local community with a variety of Chinese culinary options. Situated in Luling, LA 70070, this establishment can be contacted at (985) 331-8885 or their mobile number +1 985-331-8885 for inquiries and orders. As a Chinese Restaurant, Beijing offers a menu that includes popular dishes like coconut shrimp and dumplings, with a focus on preparing food fresh to order. However, customer experiences regarding the environment and service appear to be mixed, based on the available reviews.

One customer who had not dined at Beijing for a while reported a positive experience upon their recent visit, stating that the food was "so good as usual." They specifically praised the coconut shrimp and dumplings as "delicious." This positive feedback suggests that Beijing has a reputation for tasty food among some of its patrons. The reviewer also noted that there was a bit of a wait for the food but attributed this to everything being "made fresh," which they personally did not mind. This indicates that Beijing might prioritize freshness in its food preparation, which could be a significant draw for customers who value freshly cooked meals. The reviewer also advised ordering ahead of time for those who prefer not to wait, suggesting that takeout service is a popular option.

However, another customer reported a severely negative experience concerning the dining environment. This reviewer claimed to have ordered food but then requested a full refund after informing the cashier about a "smell of feces in the dining area." The subsequent interaction with a female cashier, who allegedly initially pretended not to speak English, escalated when she reportedly told the customer that the smell was coming from them. This led the customer to immediately request a refund and leave the premises. This review raises significant concerns about the cleanliness and overall environment of the restaurant, as well as the professionalism of the staff in handling customer complaints. Such an experience could be a major deterrent for potential diners.

Considering the conflicting reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive description of the environment at Beijing. While one review does not mention any issues and focuses on the food quality, the other paints a concerning picture of an unsanitary dining area with an unpleasant odor. This discrepancy suggests that the cleanliness and atmosphere might be inconsistent or that different customers have had vastly different experiences. Local users might need to consider this conflicting information when deciding whether to dine at or order from Beijing.

Similarly, the service at Beijing receives mixed feedback. The positive review highlights the willingness of a customer to wait for freshly prepared food, implying an acceptable level of service in terms of food preparation. However, the negative review details a highly unprofessional and confrontational interaction with a cashier, including an accusation directed at the customer regarding an offensive smell they reported. This raises serious questions about the customer service standards at Beijing and the way complaints are handled. The alleged pretense of not speaking English further complicates the issue and suggests a lack of professionalism in dealing with customer concerns.

A key feature of Beijing appears to be its commitment to preparing food fresh to order, as mentioned by a satisfied customer. This could explain any potential wait times for food but is also a significant advantage in terms of food quality and taste. The positive feedback on specific dishes like coconut shrimp and dumplings suggests that Beijing has some well-received items on its menu. However, the lack of specific details about other menu offerings makes it difficult to assess the full range and quality of their cuisine.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews for Beijing. Customers interested in any special offers, discounts, or popular menu items would need to contact the restaurant directly at (985) 331-8885 or +1 985-331-8885 to inquire. The limited information focuses on the food quality and the concerning issues related to the dining environment and customer service.

In conclusion, Beijing Chinese Restaurant in Luling, LA, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. On one hand, it is praised for its delicious and freshly prepared food, particularly the coconut shrimp and dumplings. The willingness of a customer to wait for the freshness indicates a potential strength of the restaurant. On the other hand, a serious incident involving an alleged foul odor in the dining area and a highly unprofessional interaction with a cashier raises significant concerns about the restaurant's cleanliness and customer service standards. Local users considering Beijing should weigh these contrasting experiences. If fresh food is a priority and takeout is the preferred option, Beijing might be worth considering. However, those planning to dine in should be aware of the reported environmental issues, and all customers should be prepared for potentially inconsistent service. It would be prudent to gather more recent feedback or perhaps visit the location to assess the current conditions before making a decision.

Hadn't ate here in a while, but got some tonight and it was so good as usual. Ordered the coconut shrimp and dumplings, everything was delicious. Took a bit to get the food, but everything is made fresh so I don't mind. If you don't want to wait order ahead of time.

It was then that the female cashier who pretended to not speak english told me that the smell coming from me... and, it was then that I requested a full refund and proceeded to leave immediately!

The fried rice was ok. I could definitely tell it was old but I'm not super picky. The sweet and sour pork however, was so dry and overcooked it wasn't even edible. The entire order was hard as rocks and this is the 2nd time this has happened. I'll try somewhere else next time. Very disappointing.

Awful. We gave up on all surrounding food places like this, but decided to give it a try. Awful. The fried rice was dry, hard, and not fresh AT ALL! the egg roll was ok. Now that chicken was just a mess. Under all that batter was a tiny piece of chicken. I picked it all apart, and still couldnt make a chicken leg. When I tell you never again, I mean NEVER!!
