About BEIJING BUFFET

Welcome to BEIJING BUFFET, a newly opened Chinese restaurant located at 4017 E Main St in Ventura, California. As a Chinese buffet, BEIJING BUFFET offers an all-you-can-eat dining experience, providing a wide selection of dishes for customers to enjoy. This format is particularly appealing for families and individuals looking to sample a variety of Chinese cuisine and other offerings.

The environment of BEIJING BUFFET, based on the limited information available, seems to be a casual dining space typical of a buffet-style restaurant. One positive aspect mentioned by a customer is the use of classic Pepsi cups, which evoked nostalgic feelings and added a touch of personal enjoyment to their dining experience. The fact that this customer was "so happy we have a buffet in town" suggests that BEIJING BUFFET fills a niche in the local Ventura dining scene.

In terms of services, the primary offering of BEIJING BUFFET is its all-you-can-eat buffet. This allows diners to serve themselves from a variety of prepared dishes. The availability of a buffet format typically caters to those who appreciate having numerous options and the ability to eat at their own pace. While specific details about table service are not provided, it can be inferred that the staff is present to manage the buffet area, assist with seating, and handle payments. The phone numbers provided, (805) 363-8888 and +1 805-363-8888, indicate that they are reachable for inquiries or reservations, although the need for reservations at a buffet is not specified.

BEIJING BUFFET boasts several features that might appeal to different diners. One enthusiastic customer highlighted the availability of sashimi, shrimp, and kimchi, noting their enjoyment of these items. This suggests that the buffet includes not only traditional Chinese dishes but also some Japanese and Korean elements, potentially offering a broader culinary experience. The mention of "classics" alongside these items implies a selection that caters to both adventurous and traditional palates.

However, it is crucial to consider all feedback to provide an objective introduction. Another customer expressed significant disappointment with their experience. They noted that for a party of three (two seniors and one child), the cost was $78, which they felt was high given the overall experience. This suggests that the pricing might be a point of concern for some customers, especially when evaluating the perceived value.

Furthermore, this critical review pointed out several issues with the food itself. The customer found the selection to be "somewhat limited" in terms of the number of items available on the buffet. More concerningly, they described the food as "luke warm and over cooked with little to no flavor." Specific examples included soggy orange chicken that was "swimming in the orange sauce." This feedback raises concerns about the quality and preparation of the dishes, particularly regarding temperature, texture, and flavor.

The negative reviewer expressed hope that the restaurant's management would taste their own food and consider making changes, especially given that BEIJING BUFFET had recently opened. This suggests that there might be initial teething issues that need to be addressed to meet customer expectations, particularly regarding the quality and effort put into the food, even in a buffet setting.

Based on the contrasting reviews, the experience at BEIJING BUFFET appears to be somewhat inconsistent. While some customers have enjoyed specific offerings like the sashimi, shrimp, and kimchi, and appreciated the nostalgic touch of the Pepsi cups, others have found the food quality lacking, especially considering the price. The issues of lukewarm temperature, overcooked texture, and lack of flavor are significant points of concern raised by one reviewer.

Currently, there is no explicit promotional information provided in the given text. To learn about any potential discounts, special offers for seniors or children (as one reviewer mentioned a party with seniors and a child), or any lunch or dinner specials, it would be best to contact BEIJING BUFFET directly at their phone number: (805) 363-8888 or +1 805-363-8888. Inquiring directly will provide the most up-to-date information on pricing structures and any ongoing promotions that might be available to local customers.

In conclusion, BEIJING BUFFET in Ventura offers an all-you-can-eat Chinese dining experience that includes a variety of dishes, with some customers particularly enjoying the sashimi, shrimp, and kimchi. The use of classic Pepsi cups adds a nostalgic touch for some. However, potential customers should be aware of recent feedback indicating concerns about the price relative to the perceived quality of food, with issues such as limited selection, lukewarm temperature, overcooked texture, and lack of flavor being raised. As a new establishment, BEIJING BUFFET has the opportunity to address these concerns and improve the overall dining experience. For those interested in trying BEIJING BUFFET, it might be beneficial to inquire about their current menu and any promotions directly through their provided phone numbers.

I usually never rate places this low, but unfortunately this had become one of them. I had really high hopes for this restaurant especially because we do need more Chinese places in ventura, but when we arrived we paid $78 for 3 people, 2 seniors one child. as we began to browse it was somewhat limited to how many items there were, the food was luke warm and over cooked with little to no flavor, the orange chicken was very soggy and swimming in the orange sauce. overall I just hope they actually taste what they’re serving and maybe will decide to change some things. especially given the fact they just recently became open. overall not a terrible experience but i just wish it felt like they put more effort into the food regardless if it’s “buffet” style.

Honestly, I'm extremely happy that this place opened. The food is absolutely amazing, the people there are so so kind and the atmosphere is just great. The fountain drinks could use some improvement, especially the carbonated drinks as they were flat when I tried them. But besides that, everything is amazing, especially the seafood.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. The food is good quality and tastes great. I especially enjoyed the Mongolian grill station. They have a decent selection of sushi and sea food. I liked that the soda fountain was self serve. The staff is attentive and our used plates were cleared quickly. Update: the food quality is still decent but maybe not as good as it was last year.

New decor and nice atmosphere with a friendly staff. food was mostly just warm on the buffet lines except for the Mongolian Barbque table...which was definitely hot and the Sushi table, which was nicely cold. Snow crab legs were delicious. Come hungry if you want to do justice to the $26 per person price.
