About Bei Jing Chinese Food

Bei Jing Chinese Food is a Chinese Restaurant located at 130 E Marshall St, Norristown, PA 19401, USA. They offer a menu that includes both traditional Chinese dishes and some American options, primarily for takeout.

Customer reviews for Bei Jing Chinese Food present a mixed experience. One reviewer had a very negative experience with a cheeseburger and fries they ordered. They reported that the burger was missing advertised toppings, the roll was stale, and the patty tasted like it didn't contain real meat. The fries were unexpectedly covered in a flavorless cheese sauce. This customer was so dissatisfied that they threw the meal away and advised against ordering non-Chinese items from the restaurant.

On the other hand, another reviewer shared more positive feedback on some of the Chinese dishes. They found the pork fried rice delicious due to the abundance of onions and bean sprouts (which they enjoyed). The egg rolls were described as crunchy and flavorful, although sometimes having more dough than filling and being on the smaller side. The wonton soup was considered good but in need of added salt. Chicken wings were consistently rated as good, and the General Tso's chicken was described as "bomb," especially for those particular about meat quality. The crab rangoons were also noted as really good, but lacking in the taste of crab. This reviewer also mentioned that Bei Jing Chinese Food operates on a cash-only basis.

Overall, it appears that Bei Jing Chinese Food may have strengths in some of its traditional Chinese offerings, while the quality of other menu items, such as the American fare, may be inconsistent. Customers who prefer dishes with a lot of onions and bean sprouts in their fried rice and enjoy crunchy egg rolls might find some satisfying options here. However, it's important to note the cash-only policy and the varying feedback on different dishes.

I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The menu states that it comes with tomato, lettuce and onions-none of which were there. The roll was very stale, and I don't think there was actual meat in the burger patty. It was paper thin and tasted terrible. The fries came smothered in cheese sauce (I did not order cheese sauce) and they were a flavorless glob. I ended up throwing the whole thing out. Complete waste of money. I understand that this is a Chinese restaurant, but don't have the option on your menu if you can't make anything that resembles a real burger and fry meal. I work night shift so now I am starving and slightly sick to my stomach.

Pork fried rice is delicious because it has so much onion and bean sprouts (if you like that, which I do.) Egg rolls are crunchy and flavorful. Sometimes has more dough than filling and could be bigger. Wonton soup is good but needs salt! Every time I get it I need to add salt and I don’t typically add extra salt to my food. Nothing you can’t fix yourself though so I wouldn’t knock them for it. Chicken wings are consistently good. General Tao’s chicken was actually bomb (if you’re picky about meat quality.) Crab rangoons are really good but you can barely taste any crab; they definitely need to add more crab! Cash only.

I got pork lo mien and sesame chicken with white rice and broccoli. The lo mien noodles is waaaaaay over cooked, the veggies and meat are very little. The taste is very bland and did I mention the soggy noodles. My sesame chicken smelled funny opening the platter but the chicken taste off the sauce doesn’t really hold on the chicken it’s a little watery. The pork fried rice is good , I feel like it has more veggies then my lo mien but definitely better than both the chicken and the lo mien.
