According to customer reviews, Bay Garden Cafe is a good place to indulge in genuine Chinese cuisine, with one patron highlighting the freshness of the ingredients and the authentic flavors of the dishes. The prices are also noted as being quite reasonable, making it an accessible option for those seeking quality Cantonese fare. A highly recommended item is their milk pudding, which has been praised as particularly delicious and a must-try.

Another reviewer believes that Bay Garden Cafe is somewhat underrated, especially considering the authenticity of its Cantonese food and Hong Kong cafe offerings. Despite its longevity in the area, it is mentioned that the restaurant does not seem as crowded as it once was. This could be an advantage for diners looking for a less hectic environment while still enjoying flavorful and authentic meals. The cafe boasts a great selection of Cantonese dishes, providing a wide array of choices to satisfy various palates.

The service at Bay Garden Cafe is consistently described as fast, which is a significant plus for those who appreciate efficiency, especially during lunch hours or when on a tight schedule. The pricing is considered very reasonable, particularly when considering the generous portions of food that are served. This combination of quality, quantity, and price makes Bay Garden Cafe an attractive option for value-conscious diners.

The dishes at Bay Garden Cafe are consistently lauded for their authenticity and flavor, attributed to the use of fresh ingredients. This commitment to quality ensures a genuine taste that resonates with those familiar with Cantonese and Hong Kong cafe cuisine. The menu likely features a range of classic Cantonese dishes, prepared with traditional techniques and emphasizing natural flavors. The Hong Kong cafe aspect might include popular items like congee, noodles, rice dishes, and various baked goods or desserts, alongside the highly praised milk pudding.

However, not all aspects of the dining experience have received universal praise. One reviewer mentioned a significant concern regarding the cleanliness of the restrooms and the condition of the glasses and dishware, describing them as very dirty and old, respectively. This is an area that could impact the overall perception of the restaurant and the dining experience, and it is something that potential customers might want to consider.

For those planning a visit, there are convenient parking options available. Parking is located right behind the restaurant, in a lot shared with other businesses in the same plaza. Additionally, street parking is also an option for those who prefer it or if the parking lot is full. This accessibility makes it easier for patrons to dine at Bay Garden Cafe without the hassle of searching for parking.

Bay Garden Cafe also offers a lunch special available daily from 8 am to 3 pm at a very reasonable price. This extended lunch special period provides ample opportunity for diners to take advantage of potentially discounted prices on a selection of their menu items. This could be a particularly attractive option for weekday lunches or early dinners.

The reviewer also makes an interesting comparison to Alice’s Kitchen, another Hong Kong cafe located across the street, which is described as one of the best in the area and draws a large crowd. Despite the popularity of its neighbor, the reviewer encourages locals to give Bay Garden Cafe a try if they are looking for something different. The suggestion implies that Bay Garden Cafe offers a unique experience and its own merits, and diners might be pleasantly surprised to discover new favorite dishes there.

In conclusion, Bay Garden Cafe presents itself as a reliable option for those seeking authentic Cantonese food and Hong Kong cafe cuisine in Temple City. It is praised for its fresh ingredients, genuine flavors, reasonable prices, generous portions, and fast service. The milk pudding is a standout item that comes highly recommended. While the cleanliness of the restrooms and the condition of some tableware have been noted as areas for potential improvement, the overall positive feedback on the food and value suggests that Bay Garden Cafe offers a worthwhile dining experience. For locals looking to explore beyond the popular options and discover a potentially underrated gem, Bay Garden Cafe is certainly worth considering.

I believe Bay Garden Café is underrated for its authentic Cantonese food and HK café cuisine. Despite being around for over 6+ years, the place doesn't seem as crowded as it used to be. They offer a great selection of Cantonese dishes, and their service is consistently fast. The pricing is very reasonable considering the generous portions of food you receive. The dishes are authentic, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. However, I must deduct one star due to the very dirty restrooms and old glasses/dishware. Quick tips: Parking is available right behind the restaurant, which is shared with other shops in the same plaza. Street parking is also an option. They offer a lunch special from 8 am to 3 pm daily at a very reasonable price. While many people may be drawn to the new Alice’s Kitchen (one of the best HK cafés in the area) across the street, I encourage giving Bay Garden Café a try if you're looking for something different. You might discover something you like even better at Bay Garden Café.

There is lots of parking in the rear. The food is very good and portions are generous at a very reasonable price. Service can be slow during breakfast rush on the weekends. There is a breakfast menu which is a great value. It does take some time for the food to come, but when it does it is nice and hot. Condiments like chili, soy sauce and vinegar are not available on the table. If you want condiments, you will need to ask. The restroom is clean.

Came to have dinner with a large group of family. We took up 2 of their larger round tables. This was my 1st visit here. The place is on the smaller side and they happened to be very busy on the evening that we went. The staff was as attentive as they could be considering how busy they were and for being a relatively small space. The food was excellent. It came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I will definitely be returning. This happened to be a regular spot for an uncle of mine who lives in the area. The roast duck and the honey walnut shrimp were really good.

Wait for half an hour for the sesame soup, thought it was fresh made so need to wait for that long time. Trashed it after the first spoon of taste, looks like just used the instant packet of the sesame powder that market sells for not even a dollar for a small pack and add the water in it, and charged it for $13 dollars??? Never go to here again.
