About Bawarchi Biryani Point

Located at 761 NJ-33 #301 in East Windsor, New Jersey, Bawarchi Biryani Point is an Indian restaurant that has recently opened in the area. While categorized under a Chinese Restaurant platform, Bawarchi Biryani Point offers a menu of Indian cuisine, with a noted specialty in biryani.

Customer reviews provide insights into various aspects of the restaurant. Overall, some diners found their experience to be just "ok," noting that while there was nothing significantly wrong, the food didn't particularly stand out. One reviewer mentioned inconsistencies in flavoring across dishes, with a dosa being too salty and chole being excessively spicy due to the use of green chilies. They did, however, find the idly to be good, fresh, soft, and spongy, and the pakora to be satisfactory. Their biryani was also described as just "ok," with a higher proportion of potatoes compared to other vegetables.

Another review echoed the sentiment that the biryani is a strong point, with parents of the reviewer particularly enjoying it. However, they found the dosas to be a weaker offering, noting small portions of sambar with a chicken tikka dosa and insufficient chocolate sauce with a chocolate dosa. The dosas were described as not crispy and somewhat dry, possibly due to an imbalance in ingredients. The baby corn Manchurian was rated as "okay," and the mango lassi as "good."

The service was described as "fine" by one customer but also noted as a bit slow due to a high volume of takeout orders, which was seen as potentially prioritizing takeout over dine-in customers. The restaurant's decor was described as clean but "somewhat ordinary," suggesting a casual dining environment.

In summary, Bawarchi Biryani Point appears to be a casual Indian restaurant where biryani is a highlighted dish. However, customer experiences with other menu items, particularly dosas, have been less favorable. The service might be slower during busy takeout periods. Local users looking for Indian cuisine, especially biryani, in East Windsor, NJ, may find it worth a visit, keeping in mind the mixed reviews on other dishes.

Overall it was just ok. Nothing really wrong, maybe not just my taste but nothing special that I’d go out of my way for. We tried a few dishes, food flavoring was a bit off. Dosa was very salty, chole was extremely spicy probably due to the green chilies used. (I understand individual peppers are just sometimes hotter so not always predictable) idly were good and tasted fresh, soft and spongy. Pakora were good as well. Biryani was also just ok, heavy on the potatoes vs other vegetables. Service was fine, a bit slow as they had a lot of takeout orders being worked on. (Always frustrating to hear that vs prioritizing customers dining in!) and it was clean and somewhat ordinary decor. All in all, perfectly fine meal but as I noted don’t feel it was anything special. YMMV.

This is a casual Indian restaurant that's popped up relatively recently. My parents love the biryani here, but we feel it's a bit weak when it comes to dosas. My mom's chicken tikka dosa came with small portions of sambar, and my chocolate dosa came with not quite enough chocolate sauce. The dosas weren't crispy and tasted a bit dry, if that makes sense, like there was too much flour (I realize dosas aren't made of flour, but whatever the equivalent is in the recipe) and not enough shortening and other things. The baby corn Manchurian was okay, and the mango lassi was good. I realize that since this is a biryani place, it's not strange that their biryani would be great while their other dishes would be weaker. However, I do expect that when going to a restaurant, all the dishes will taste decent enough, even if they're stronger in some areas than others. Because the dosas were really not great, and it was rather cold in the restaurant, I'm giving a 2.

We had gone to East Windsor for some work and were looking for an Indian restaurant. Google suggested this.A no frills Indian joint - great food. We had butter naan, goat biryani, chicken dosa. Every item was very falvourful anx had large portion sizes . The place is also very clean. If we werent staying so far away we would come here often. We saw a lot of take away orders which indicates people like its food. The next time i go that way I will surely drop in.
