About Bashu Hot Pot

Bashu Hot Pot is a Chinese restaurant located at 5600 W Colonial Dr #103, Orlando, FL 32808, USA. They can be contacted by phone at (407) 630-6851 or mobile phone at +1 407-630-6851.

Based on online reviews, Bashu Hot Pot is considered a very authentic Chinese hot pot restaurant, with a significant portion of its clientele being Chinese and servers more fluent in Mandarin than English. While English communication with servers might be challenging at times, the restaurant operates primarily on a self-service model, minimizing the need for extensive interaction.

A key feature of Bashu Hot Pot is its flavorful broth, with the tomato and spicy Szechuan options being particularly praised. The sauce bar is also highlighted as amazing, offering a wide variety of choices for customization. The meat quality is noted to be very good compared to other hot pot places in the area. While the selection of meats (lamb, pork, and chicken) and other items like vegetables, noodles, and seafood might be slightly less extensive than some other hot pot establishments, it still covers most of the essentials for a satisfying hot pot experience. Notably, Bashu Hot Pot includes blue crab with its $27.99 price tag, which one reviewer found surprisingly fresh for the cost, and they also appreciated the mushroom selection.

The service is described as kind and attentive, with waiters checking on customers frequently. The overall price is considered very competitive for the quality of service provided. The environment seems to be authentically Chinese, catering to a predominantly Chinese customer base. Bashu Hot Pot is recommended as a go-to hot pot spot in the China Town area for those seeking an authentic experience with tasty broths and a good sauce bar. Of all the hotpot places I've eaten in orlando , this one by far has the tastiest broth. We had the tomato, and the spicy szechuan. Our waiter was very kind, and checked on us often. The sauce bar was good, and I really enjoyed the food. Compared to other places I would day there are only 4 types of meat, lamb, pork, and chicken which is less than most other hot pot places, and there were less options for veggies noodles and seafood. But they really have most of everything you would want to have good hotpot. I love their mushroom selection. I will definitely be back. The price is very competitive for the quality of the service!

Veryyyyyy Authentic Chinese hot pot place. I would say 80% of the people that come here are Chinese and the servers are definitely more fluent in Mandarin then English. It’s almost hard to communicate with the server if you speak English. However, everything is self service so you don’t really need the server most of the time anyways. The meat quality is really good compared to the other hotpot places in the area and this place even serves blue crab with the $27.99 price tag. Lowkey surprised about how fresh the crabs were for the price. The sauce bar is also amazing with the different varieties of sauces to choose from. This is definitely my go to hotpot spot in the China Town Area.

Servers' were very friendly and professional. We said we wanted more spicy, and we were very satisfied. But you need to be careful when asking for the extra spicy as it is really hot if you say you want extreme hot. Sometimes, other all you can eat hot pot restaurant's food quality is terrible so that my stomach is messed up the day after I went there. But I HAD NO PROBLEM AT ALL! This shows that the food quality was good. Also, they give us a meat whenever we ask for extra. This is very good because meat can go bad pretty easy if they put it outside the all you can eat section. For the soup, I recommend tomato soup than mushroom. Mushroom soup was not good to be honest, but the spicy soup was awesome. If you want fancy all you can eat hotpot restaurants, go visit other places. BUT IF YOU WANT TO TRY AUTHENTIC ONE, you come to the right place.

Decided to try this fairly new hot pot restaurant with my parents and it did NOT disappoint! I chose the Sichuan soup at full spice (be sure you can handle the heat!). You can determine your heat level or there are soup options with no heat and all were quite good. There was a bar area with LOTS of veggie, seafood, meat and noodle options along with a large selection of sauces and toppings. The food was delicious and the meal was topped off with a really yummy jello dessert. The staff was super attentive and friendly as well. We will definitely be back!

Update: We have eaten here 5 times now and I rate this as the best authentic Chinese hot pot place in Orlando. It's a bit rough around the edges for Americans who are new to hot pot, but if you have a Chinese speaker or familiar with Chinese hot pot in general, it is considered good. Very good as far as authentic Chinese hot pot goes. We liked the flavors of the mushroom broth and spicy broth. Establishment is clean and well kept, not faux fancy. Service was pretty good, not amazing, but polite people. Best to have a Chinese speaker with you to get the most out of the experience.
