Bao Dumplings & Bao Tea 寶餃寶茶

We were in the Freehold Mall and I wanted to get some sort of tea and a snack. My sister and I shared a six-piece pork dumpling order, and I ordered a pineapple sunshine fruit tea with mango boba and extra sugar. We placed our order on a kiosk and then our order number was called minutes after paying. The dumplings were incredible! I sort of assumed that they would be the pre-made manufactured type of dumplings, but they were not. They were clearly made by people, and that makes it even better. They were juicy and did not even need the sauce that it came with- those are the mark of delicious dumplings in my opinion. The pineapple sunshine fruit tea was also delightful! Overall, this place exceeded my expectations for a mall food court location. The prices were reasonable too, for a local place!

Great drink, just OK food got the pineapple sunshine fruit tea. It tasted great. Natural flavor and not overly sweet. Food tasted like it had been sitting there for too long.

Got the pork dumplings and braised beef noodle soup. Genuinely impressed at the quality of the food! Was expecting your typical fast-food/Chinese takeout type dishes (of which they do have in their pick3 menu for sure). But the noodle soup was authentic with a rich, not-overly-salty and even a little bit spicy broth and thick chewy noodles. Came with some bok choi veggies and delicious cuts of stewed beef. (I had gotten through half the bowl before remembering to snap a pic). If you get this to go, highly recommend reheating the broth until it's HOT and then letting the noodles stew in the soup for a few minutes until they get dark (to absorb the rich brothy flavor). Would definitely come back for the noodle soup alone. The dumplings were good too with a good amount of filling and chewy dough onthe outside. Will have to come back to try some of the drinks too!

Located in the food court of the Freehold Raceway mall towards the Chick Fil-a side. We went with the 3 option selection of noodles, string beans, and dumplings. The dumplings had pork filling and was decent. It wasn't overly flavorful. Loved the string beans which were cooked just right. The lo mein was average and a bit greasy. We also ordered the braised beef noodles, which is made to order so expect a slight wait for this dish. At first taste, it was very flavorful, beef was tender and juicy. Nothing special with the noodles. Over time though, the broth tended to get more and more salty. Something to keep in mind should you decide to order this. The bubble tea is ok. Not the best but decent.

I got dumplings from them today and they were cold, hard and taste less. And the price of 6 dumplings was $6.85 but I realized I was charged $9.20. They added $1.53 tip apart from the usual tax.
