Bangkok Thai & Sushi

Wanted some Thai food and decided to give Bangkok Thai a try. Unfortunately, their food was only mediocre and we both left disappointed. Service was subpar. Our waitress did not smile much. We did not feel welcomed. The restaurant was spacious and clean. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. It was lightly battered and tasted great! Chicken Pad Thai was a huge disappointment! All I taste was the cheap ketchup they used instead of tamarind. It was definitely NOT worth $15. It was disgusting. If I wanted to eat ketchup with noodles, I would’ve just made that at home. Avoid this dish!! Using ketchup as a cheaper substitute is horrible! The drunken noodle had better flavor than my ketchup noodles but it was extremely spicy. We won’t be returning when we are craving Thai food. They do have a large selection of cuisines on their menu that includes Japanese and Chinese as well.

Food is incredible! Red Curry Chicken is my favorite, and the Basil Fried Rice with Chicken is good as well. We always order the Chicken Satay as an appetizer and a side order of Potstickers. This is by far one of the best Thai restaurants in the Chicagoland area! Amazing food and very reasonably priced. Great staff and wonderful service.

I can't order from here anymore. Extra egg means they just plopped a whole fried egg on top of my dinner. Unappetizing. Called 2 minutes after ordering to ask if the tofu could be extra crispy & they said "No, it's done already." It's so mushy, why would anything be cooked for so little time? I've had good meals here before, but it's become way too inconsistent & poor quality.

I came in to pick up my order. There was a single family in there when I arrived. All 4 staff visibly looked at me and NO-ONE came to serve me at the counter (the bell even rings when someone enters). Fast forward a few minutes more and I CALL the restaurant that I’m standing in on my phone. Only THEN does someone come to the desk to pick up the phone. Surprise! It’s the person standing here waiting to pick up my order. Glad the person on the phone was more important. Not only that, there was NO apology and once I checked out they simply there my receipt, after which I simply stood and waited until it was picked up and given to me. The absolute disrespect was off the charts and I will never come back again. I spent nearly $100 on a clearly slow night as well. Terrible on all counts.

Came in with a party of 12 with 4 young kids, and was so impressed with how great, fast and prompt the service was. Ordered and the food was out literally in 5 minutes ! Everything was delicious, servers were quick helpful and super friendly. Oh and their Thai tea is BOMB 🤤 ! Prices are slightly high, but the quick service and deliciousness make up for it! I got curry, egg rolls, and Thai tea and with tip I paid $50
