“New York-Style” Chinese Food? More Like a Sad Imitation As a longtime Bronx guy, I know what real New York-style Chinese food is supposed to taste like. It’s bold, flavorful, and hits you with that perfect balance of sweet, salty, spicy, and umami. So when I saw this place advertising “New York-style” Chinese food, I figured I’d give it a shot. Big mistake. On a true NYC scale of 1-10, this is a solid -7. The food is technically edible, but that’s about where the positives end. Every dish was bland, lacking that wok-fired punch that makes real NY Chinese food stand out. The sauces tasted watered down, the fried rice was just rice with some soy sauce mixed in, and the chicken? Let’s just say I’ve had more flavorful napkins. And don’t even get me started on the egg roll—completely tasteless. No crunch, no seasoning, just an empty shell of what should’ve been a crispy, flavorful bite. It’s like they made it with the idea of an egg roll rather than an actual egg roll. I wasn’t expecting Chinatown-level greatness, but I was at least hoping for something close to what you’d find at any decent takeout spot in the Bronx. Instead, I got a sad, uninspired version that barely resembles what it’s trying to imitate. Would it kill them to add some garlic, ginger, or anything resembling seasoning? Bottom line: If you’re craving real New York-style Chinese food, keep looking. This ain’t it. Sorry Florida, Try again!!!

It's not a Chinese wok restaurant if they can't make Fried rice . Mine was Semi cooked wet pasty rice - like a cat ate and threw it up, some raw tofu, no salt , no flavor, raw onions, boiled broccoli. The lady on the phone was tired and angry. Food is reflective of the state of the mind. Good quantity. Hopefully mine is a one off. Praying others have a better experience.

Ordered a large wonton soup, took a couple bites and went back in to get more green onions, he put more green onions in with his dirty fingers after giving me change from $20, I went outside and threw it in the trash, how nasty. The crunchy wontons, for the soup, were stale I also bought a large pork fried rice and all the pork was on the top, you got to the middle and it was gone. I paid $17.63 for these two items, I could have had a full meal somewhere else, I won't be back

We went to this place to try something different and being that they were still open at 9pm...was unsure what to get when we went inside and the woman who took our order made it even worse because she was rude and made us feel like we were a bigger... the menu is very large which we thought was a good thing. I ordered the bourjon chicken combo, ordered mongolian beef for my husband and my daughter chose the hot n spicy chicken combo.... my bourbon chicken was dry and seemed to be recooked several times, it was not edible.Spring rolls were mushy with no cabbage inside. This place was a huge disappointment. My husbands mongolian beef had whole onions and barely any beef my daughter seemed to be ok with her chicken but the fried rice had chopped i sautéed onions which were very strong. It was a waste of $50.
