About Bamboo Village Restaurant

Welcome to Bamboo Village Restaurant, an Asian dining establishment located at 11880 Round Lake Blvd NW in Coon Rapids, Minnesota (55433, USA). While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant, customer reviews suggest that Bamboo Village also offers dishes from other Asian culinary traditions, such as Thai cuisine. You can reach them at their phone number (763) 421-7772 or their mobile number +1 763-421-7772 for inquiries or to place an order for takeout or delivery.

Customer feedback on Bamboo Village Restaurant presents a mixed bag of experiences, highlighting both strengths and significant areas for potential improvement. One reviewer specifically mentioned visiting the restaurant for their "famous Qui egg rolls" and also ordered the Pad Thai. While they noted that the Pad Thai had a different appearance ("pink") and taste than expected, they still considered it "good food." However, they expressed disappointment that it did not align with their expectations of authentic Pad Thai. The addition of chicken to the dish was also noted, with the chicken described as dry, which the reviewer found surprising given the likely use of chicken thighs. Despite these reservations about the Pad Thai, the reviewer did commend the staff as "awesome" and mentioned looking forward to the egg rolls, suggesting they are a noteworthy and enjoyable item on the menu.

In contrast, another customer reported a highly negative experience with their order. They placed an order at 5:45 PM and did not receive their food until two hours later. After waiting for an hour, they contacted the restaurant to inquire about the delay and were told that their order would be fine, despite offering to pick it up themselves. When the food finally arrived, it was described as cold and visually unappealing. This customer strongly advised others against wasting their money at Bamboo Village Restaurant, citing the unacceptable delay and the poor quality of the delivered food.

These two reviews offer starkly different perspectives on Bamboo Village Restaurant. The first suggests that certain menu items, like the Qui egg rolls, may be popular and well-regarded, and that the staff provides excellent service during pickup. However, it also indicates potential inconsistencies in the preparation of other dishes, such as the Pad Thai, and a possible deviation from traditional recipes. The second review raises serious concerns about the restaurant's delivery service, including significant delays and issues with food temperature and quality upon arrival.

The first reviewer also helpfully provided information regarding the restaurant's accessibility in light of new road construction. They mentioned that despite the construction, the restaurant is not difficult to reach by following Google Maps. It remains located off the highway on a service road, allowing for easy access back onto the highway after visiting.

Based on the available information, it is difficult to ascertain specific details about the restaurant's environment for dine-in customers, as both reviews primarily focused on takeout or delivery experiences. The positive mention of "awesome" staff suggests that the service provided at the restaurant counter for pickup is likely friendly and efficient. However, the severe delivery delay reported by the second customer indicates potential issues with their delivery operations.

The "famous Qui egg rolls" appear to be a signature item that draws customers to Bamboo Village Restaurant. This could be a unique feature that sets them apart. However, the inconsistent quality reported for the Pad Thai suggests that the execution of other menu items may vary. Without more information, it is unclear what other specialties or features Bamboo Village might offer.

No specific promotional information was included in the provided reviews. Local users interested in Bamboo Village Restaurant may want to check online platforms for any advertised specials or contact the restaurant directly to inquire about current promotions or deals they might be offering, especially for takeout or delivery orders.

In conclusion, Bamboo Village Restaurant in Coon Rapids, MN, offers a mix of Asian cuisine, with their Qui egg rolls being a noted favorite. While the staff has been praised for their excellent service during pickup, there are significant concerns regarding the reliability and quality of their delivery service, as evidenced by a report of a two-hour delay and cold, unappetizing food. Additionally, the preparation of certain dishes, like the Pad Thai, may not align with traditional expectations. Potential customers might want to consider these factors when deciding whether to order from or visit Bamboo Village Restaurant. If opting for delivery, it may be prudent to inquire about estimated delivery times and ensure that the restaurant is aware of the negative delivery experience reported by a previous customer. For those interested in the Qui egg rolls or willing to try other menu items for takeout, the friendly staff may provide a positive interaction. However, the inconsistencies in food preparation and the significant issues with delivery need to be taken into account.

Went for the famous Qui egg rolls but also ordered the pad Thai. The Pad Thai was pink and did not taste like PT. Added chicken to it, which was dry..pretty sure they use thighs so not sure how they got dry. I was in & out but staff was awesome. Disappointed in food as it wasn't what I thought PT to be BUT it was still good food. I just didn't want to make my own; PT and fresh spring rolls. In all honesty I was thinking about the egg rolls for the last half of my massage so 😋 With the new road construction it's not difficult to get to: just Google. It's still right off the highway on the 'service' road and you can hop right on the highway again

Ordered Food at 545. It took 2 hours to get here. One hour in, we called to ask about the delay. We offered to pick up the food but were told it would be fine. When the food arrived, it was cold and looked terrible. Do not waste your money here.

We were there Saturday during the dinner rush and ate in. There was only one person working beside the cook in the back. Most of the their business is coming from carryout and delivery from what we could tell, the phone was constantly ringing and quite a few people came in to pick up their food. I didn't get my rice that was supposed to come with my entree and we didn't get our appetizers until well after we already got our entrees, we asked for no shrimp in our spring rolls but they came with it anyway so we asked for that to be taken off the bill and sent it back. The server was nice but it was just not the greatest service during the dinner rush with one person doing the job of at least 3 people. Food was decent, but I wouldn't go back.

We have been a long time fan of the egg rolls and ordered them a couple times a month. We placed a order last night and it was not even close to what we have come to expect. The egg rolls where half the size of normal. Still taste great but way smaller. They also changed the fried rice it was awful and not really rice but more like a mush with frozen peas and carrots with very little flavor. I called to complain but hung up after being on hold for a couple minutes. Will be taking our business elsewhere. Update: The daughter and I ate the beef lomein. Our stomachs are not well.

Portions were good but the food was not. Spring rolls were pretty flavorless and they added shrimp when I didn't order shrimp. The pork in the fried rice was dry. Seemed to be a lot of lettuce in everything as a filler. I would have preferred other vegetables in the rice noodle dish or even more noodles rather than lettuce. It was just meat, sauce, very few rice noodles, onions and lettuce, oh and a few bean sprouts. I was really missing other veges and really just missing flavor. And the curry was flavorless, not good at all, only came with big chunks of green pepper and onion, a little spice but otherwise so bland. Probably the first time we didn't finish this type of takeout leftovers. Also when I called with a question the lady wasn't exactly rude but didn't have answers, and told me to just go order online.
