About Bamboo Village
Welcome to Bamboo Village, a Chinese Restaurant located at 4900 Stone Way N, Seattle, WA 98103, USA. This establishment has garnered attention as a "hidden gem," particularly noted after a change in ownership that has ushered in a new era of culinary excellence. Bamboo Village distinguishes itself by offering a comprehensive menu that caters to a wide range of tastes, featuring both familiar Chinese American dishes and authentic Chinese specialties crafted by a top-notch chef.
One of the standout features of Bamboo Village is its commitment to providing a diverse culinary experience. Unlike many Chinese restaurants that may focus primarily on one style, Bamboo Village expertly blends the comforting familiarity of Chinese American cuisine with the more nuanced and traditional flavors of authentic Chinese dishes. This dual approach ensures that both those seeking classic favorites and those wanting to explore more genuine regional flavors will find satisfying options.
Adding to its unique appeal, Bamboo Village takes pride in making dim sum on-site. This is a significant advantage, as freshly prepared dim sum often boasts a superior taste and texture compared to pre-made or frozen alternatives. For local users who appreciate the delicate artistry and diverse flavors of dim sum, Bamboo Village offers a convenient alternative to traveling to the Chinatown-International District (CID), as highlighted by a delighted customer.
Beyond the exceptional food, Bamboo Village also offers a significant convenience that is often a premium in Seattle: plenty of free parking. Located conveniently to the south of the Woodland Park Zoo, it provides an accessible dining option for individuals and families, especially those who might be visiting the zoo and looking for a nearby restaurant without the hassle of searching for and paying for parking. This amenity makes Bamboo Village an even more attractive choice for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
The recent change in ownership has clearly had a positive impact, with reviewers describing it as a "phenomenal" Chinese restaurant. This suggests a renewed focus on quality ingredients, skillful preparation, and a commitment to delivering a memorable dining experience for patrons. The presence of a top-notch chef who is dedicated to preparing authentic Chinese dishes further underscores the culinary expertise at Bamboo Village.
While the exterior of the restaurant might have left a previous reviewer with initial reservations, their experience inside was overwhelmingly positive. They expressed pleasant surprise with both the dim sum and the dinner stir-fry dishes they tried, such as Singapore noodles and Mongolian beef. This indicates that Bamboo Village excels in various aspects of Chinese cuisine, from delicate small plates to hearty main courses.
The dim sum at Bamboo Village is particularly noteworthy, with the reviewer specifically mentioning that it is "yummy" and doesn't skimp on the filling. This is a crucial aspect of good dim sum, where generous and flavorful fillings are essential for a satisfying bite. The fact that it's made on-site likely contributes to its freshness and quality, making it a compelling reason for dim sum enthusiasts in the area to visit Bamboo Village.
For local users in Seattle, especially those in the Stone Way neighborhood or those who frequent the Woodland Park Zoo, Bamboo Village offers a fantastic option for Chinese cuisine. Its diverse menu, featuring both Chinese American classics and authentic Chinese dishes, caters to a broad range of preferences. The on-site preparation of dim sum adds a unique and appealing dimension to their offerings, providing a local alternative for those who appreciate this Cantonese specialty.
The convenience of ample free parking is a significant advantage in a city where parking can often be challenging and expensive. This makes Bamboo Village an ideal "go to place" after a visit to the zoo or for anyone in the area looking for a hassle-free dining experience with delicious Chinese food.
In conclusion, Bamboo Village presents itself as a remarkable Chinese restaurant in Seattle, offering a blend of familiar and authentic flavors, freshly made dim sum, and the valuable amenity of free parking. We had a opportunity to try the this hidden gem after change of ownership. It is a phenomenal Chinese restaurant that has a full menu of Chinese American food and top-notch chef that is preparing an authentic Chinese dishes menu. On top of the traditional dishes, they also make dim sum on site. Unlike a lot of restaurants, this one offers plenty of free parking and is conveniently located to the south of the zoo. Our go to place after a zoo visit in future!
I'm so glad I don't have to go all the way to CID for good dimsum/Chinese food anymore! The exterior leaves a bit to be desired which is why it took me years to even consider trying this place but I've been very pleasantly surprised by their dimsum and dinner stir fry dishes like Singapore noodles and Mongolian beef. Their dimsum is yummy and doesn't skimp on filling.
Great! Came here for dim sum on a Sunday and was immediately seated. We got an array of things on the dim sum menu including the siu mai and the turnip cake and they were all delicious (the menus have pictures which really help!). We also got a congee, orange chicken, and a hot and sour soup, both were great! Our favorite were the egg tarts which usually come in a pack of 3, but our server was really nice and gave us another one on the house because we were a group of 4. Overall, great spot for chinese!
Everything was amazing. I had the lava custard bun with the seafood paradise. Also some orange chicken. The food is amazing. The inside is very classy and very nice to look at. They have tables everywhere that's for all kinds of amounts of people. The sake is nice and makes you warm and very happy with the experience too. Good prices as well with good proportions to make sure your well fed before leaving. Fresh food as well tastes so good so try this place. The outside looks like it could have more love but once you go inside the place springs to life. A feast for your mouths and eyes!
Best Sweet and Sour Chicken in Seattle! They make the sauce in house, they use high quality, all white meat chicken, and they fry it twice to make it crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I eat here once or twice a week and love it every time. That way, the chicken remains nice and crispy. So good!
