About Bamboo Garden Restaurant

Welcome to Bamboo Garden Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant located at 2632 W Valley Blvd in Alhambra, California. As a part of the local Chinese Restaurant category, Bamboo Garden has apparently served the community for an extended period, as indicated by a customer who has been patronizing the establishment for 25 years. This longevity suggests a history and potentially a loyal customer base within the Alhambra area.

Bamboo Garden Restaurant can be contacted at (626) 458-9668 or via their mobile phone at +1 626-458-9668. These contact numbers provide avenues for customers to make inquiries, place orders, or seek information about the restaurant's offerings and services. Situated on West Valley Boulevard, a known thoroughfare in Alhambra, the restaurant is likely accessible to a wide range of local residents and visitors.

The available customer reviews present a somewhat contrasting view of Bamboo Garden Restaurant. One long-term customer speaks very highly of the establishment, emphasizing the personal connection they have developed with the owners, Kenny, his sister, and his brother-in-law. This reviewer describes them as "the best" and notes the development of a close relationship over the years. They also praise the food as "excellent" and the people as "even better," suggesting a welcoming and positive atmosphere fostered by the owners.

However, a more recent review highlights significant concerns regarding pricing and portion sizes. This customer reported that the prices they encountered at the restaurant were "50 percent more than the menus online," indicating that the online menus are not up to date. As an example, they mentioned that the Chicken Broccoli lunch special was priced at $14, significantly higher than the $8.50 listed online. This discrepancy led to their likely decision not to return. Furthermore, this reviewer commented that while the food was "ok," they received a "small amount of the actual dish ordered and a lotta rice," suggesting an imbalance in the proportion of protein and vegetables to rice.

Considering these two reviews, Bamboo Garden Restaurant appears to have cultivated strong relationships with some of its long-term patrons, who value the personal connection with the owners and appreciate the food. This suggests a potentially family-owned or closely managed establishment where personal interaction and a sense of community might be significant aspects of the dining experience. The mention of Kenny, his sister, and brother-in-law by name supports this possibility.

On the other hand, the more recent review raises critical issues regarding transparency in pricing and the value offered in terms of portion sizes. The significant difference between online menu prices and in-house prices can lead to customer dissatisfaction and a feeling of being misled. The comment about receiving a small amount of the main dish relative to the rice also suggests a potential issue with the perceived value for money, even if the food quality is deemed "ok."

Information regarding the specific environment or ambiance of Bamboo Garden Restaurant is not provided in these reviews. However, the long-term patronage of one customer implies a comfortable and perhaps familiar setting that has encouraged repeated visits over two and a half decades. The personal connection with the owners also suggests a possibly intimate or community-oriented atmosphere rather than a purely transactional dining experience.

Similarly, details about the services offered are limited. It can be assumed that Bamboo Garden provides standard Chinese restaurant services such as dine-in and possibly takeout. The mention of a "lunch special" indicates that they likely offer specific deals during certain hours. However, there is no information about delivery services, catering, or other potential offerings.

In terms of features, the long-standing operation and the personal connection with the owners could be considered unique aspects of Bamboo Garden Restaurant. The positive experience of the long-term customer highlights the potential for building rapport and loyalty. However, the issue with outdated online menus and the perceived imbalance in portion sizes, as mentioned by the other reviewer, are significant points that potential customers should be aware of.

There is no promotional information explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. However, the implicit promotion from the long-term customer is significant, attesting to years of positive experiences. Conversely, the negative feedback regarding pricing and portions could act as a deterrent for new customers.

For local users in Alhambra considering Bamboo Garden Restaurant, it is advisable to be aware of the potential discrepancies between online menu prices and the actual prices in the restaurant. It might be prudent to inquire about current pricing when placing an order or upon arrival. While one customer praised the food and the personal connection with the owners, another found the portion of the main dish to be small relative to the rice. Individual experiences may vary.

In conclusion, Bamboo Garden Restaurant in Alhambra appears to be a Chinese restaurant with a history of serving the local community, fostering strong relationships with some long-term patrons. However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with outdated online menus leading to price discrepancies and concerns about portion sizes. Local users might want to consider these contrasting perspectives when deciding whether to dine at Bamboo Garden Restaurant.

Prices are 50 percent more than the menus online. They dont have up to date menus online. Chicken broccolli lunch special was 14 bucks, not 8.50. Probably wont be coming back. Food was ok. Got a small amount of the actual dish ordered and a lotta rice

It's a 3 star for me because i think there are other places that is better. Good portion, good taste, fast service. Need to improve cashiers equipments (lagging) and food handling (a woman just finished making dumplings while talking to her cellphone on the table). I added pictures of their full menu so you can conveniently order ahead of time.
