Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at Bamboo Garden appear to be mixed. One reviewer expressed significant disappointment with the food, describing most dishes as lacking flavor. They specifically mentioned frozen egg rolls and beef and chicken dishes that were mostly bones with little meat. This customer also noted stale fortune cookies and stated they would not return.

In contrast, another reviewer highlighted positive aspects such as cart service and a banquet-style dining room. They mentioned that popular dishes like cha siu (roast pig), haw gao, and shu mai are "legit" and that the prices are reasonable. However, they recommended skipping the crispy pork and cha siu bao on a future visit. This reviewer described the service as average for a large and busy Chinese restaurant.

For local users in Brooklyn looking for a Chinese restaurant with cart service and banquet facilities, Bamboo Garden offers these features. However, it's important to consider the recent feedback regarding food quality when making a decision.

The food was extremely disappointing, with most dishes lacking any flavor. The egg rolls were still frozen inside, and the beef and chicken dishes were mostly bones with very little meat. We didn’t end up eating most of the food. Even the fortune cookies were stale. Honestly, even a small takeout spot would have been far better than this. I won’t be returning.

Cart service ✅ Banquet-style dining room ✅ All the hits are legit: cha siu (roast pig), haw gao, shu mai ✅ Reasonable prices ✅ Would skip the crispy pork and cha siu bao next time. Service is about average for a big, loud, and busy Chinese restaurant.

A great spot for dimsum in Brooklyn Chinatown! It has the traditional cart service with standard favorites, along with some fun innovative buns (piggy custard bun, walnut buns, sesame mochi buns)!

Pretty mediocre place. Its a pretty crowded restaurant however the wait time isn't super long. The food itself didnt meet the price and it wasn't fresh and it was cold. Very expensive for just four people. Really stressful since the tables are ordered in such a way that you need to stand up to each cart to pick your food. Waiters do not speak English which was really annoying for us since we don't speak Chinese. Roasted duck was awesome tho
