Customer reviews for Bamboo China present a mixed picture of the restaurant's food quality. One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their sweet and sour chicken order. They described the chicken as having an unusual batter and being very dry. The accompanying sauce was described as oddly thick and containing black speckles and a fly. While they found the fried rice acceptable, they were apprehensive about eating it due to the other issues. They reported feeling queasy after the meal and stated they would not return, despite acknowledging the nice staff.
In contrast, another reviewer reported a positive experience, stating they consistently order from Bamboo China for their family. They praised the pork fried rice, spare ribs, and sesame chicken, and highlighted the "super sweet and inviting" owners and staff. This reviewer indicated they would continue to patronize the restaurant.
In summary, Bamboo China receives conflicting reviews regarding its food quality. While some customers appreciate the friendly service and certain dishes like the pork fried rice and spare ribs, others have experienced significant issues with food preparation and hygiene, particularly with the sweet and sour chicken. Potential customers should be aware of these inconsistencies before ordering.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. The chicken was not the normal sweet and sour chicken you would get from a Chinese restaurant. The batter was different and the chicken meat was very dry! The sauce that came with it was oddly thick, had black speckles in it and even had a little fly in it. The best thing was the fried rice, but after seeing everything else I had to pick through every bite, afraid of what I’d find. Instantly feeling queasy after eating. VERY NICE PEOPLE but unfortunately I won’t be back.
Always order from here for my family. I love the pork fried rice and the spare ribs. The sesame chicken doesn't stay behind, and the owners and staff are super sweet and inviting. I will still choose to come back🥰🤗
Ordered take out, that is why no rating on atmosphere. Loved it! Great bean curd dishes. Even asked if I could get bean curd in orange sauce. no problem. They are the best! Super consistency of bean curd. Light and fluffy. I had the orange bean curd . Amazing!!! The fried rice was great. My wife had the Mei Fun with brown curd, she loved it. I loved my orange bean curd. Service was great. Great place!!!
I ordered three meals, all three were terrible. Pork fried rice was regular white Rice with a little soy sauce in it. Steam chicken was terrible, chicken egg foo yong was disgusting. We had ordered once before and it was just as bad but we thought we would give it a second chance but now it's our last. The general TSO's chicken was so mushy there was no chewing involved it just mushed in your mouth. I know it used to be tab quality food with previous owners but whoever has it now should get out of the business.
I was on way to USPS on Cayug bc it's open until 7pm. I wanted chinese food on way. Bamboo China came up. I'm hesitant at eating places I don't know but this place had the best General Tsoa chicken. The chicken was crispy on the outside and soft inside. It was covered in just enough sauce. Some places I've had and it was too much jelly. The broccoli was crispy and fresh. The fried rice was cooked to perfection and was filled with egg, pea, carrots, and onion. I definitely recommend this place. And will be coming back. Also the kitchen is wide open which needs to be the standard for some kitchens. Something about watching your food cooked makes it extra good knowing where it was. I'd take picture but I already ate it all 😆 it was super fast. I called and was there within 5 min. I paid and waited a minute and it was done.
