Baingan Indian Cuisine

I went to this place on Memorial Day weekend, when I entered surprisingly there are no customers in big seating restaurant. I want to sit back side open area with river side view. This place is really highlight for this restaurant, Unfortunately that is the only thing I liked in this restaurant. The food I ordered is butter chicken and garlic roti, mango lassi. Chicken is quoted with red color and it’s hard chew. Garlic rotis are good. I don’t know why it’s really hard to drink lassi. I left most of the stuff on table, didn’t feel to take it in box. Overall thumbs down 👎

it’s really good to have lunch or meal before evening at this place for scenic view. foods are average but i like this place for views , it attracts me and feeling urge to go again

Baingan is easily the best Indian food in Connecticut. Regular customer, NEVER disappointed. The staff are so pleasant and go out of their way to cater the experience of true Indian cuisine. Love this spot!

I love the Indian people, they are so warm and interested in getting to know you. I had a wonderful experience getting to know Santos and his very attentive and warm crew. They made me feel like I was family and they were serving me their home-cooked meal. Everything was fantastic and delicious. I would highly recommend the visit to this beautiful restaurant overlooking the Housatonic river with very festive and colorful decor..

♿ accessible! We took my brother in law for his first time trying Indian cuisine. We all loved it. It was delicious. The staff were top notch in service and incredibly polite. If you like spicy ask for 8/10 (Indian hot). It does not take away from the flavor but it's a great heat. Chicken marsala was our favorite and this place has one of the best we've had. Next time we are back in the area we are going to try their buffet. Beautiful view as well. Call out to the manager/owner in the white shirt, awesome guy!
