About Asiana Restaurant Chinese-Vietnamese Cuisine
Located at 775 E Capitol Ave in Milpitas, California, Asiana Restaurant positions itself within the Chinese Restaurant category, with the added distinction of offering Vietnamese cuisine, thus catering to a broader range of palates seeking flavors from both culinary traditions. Based on recent online customer reviews, the dining experience at Asiana Restaurant appears to be somewhat inconsistent, with some dishes receiving positive feedback while significant concerns have been raised regarding the atmosphere, cleanliness, and overall dining experience.
The environment at Asiana Restaurant seems to be a point of contention for at least one recent visitor. The reviewer described a Sunday night visit where the restaurant was "pretty empty," which might be a factor for some diners seeking a quieter atmosphere. However, another reviewer experienced a significantly different ambiance during their visit, noting a "ridiculously loud" environment due to a birthday party with "karaoke blasting the entire time." This level of noise made conversation "almost impossible," severely detracting from the dining experience. This suggests that the atmosphere at Asiana Restaurant can vary significantly depending on events or the time of visit, and potential customers should be aware of the possibility of a loud and disruptive environment.
Cleanliness appears to be a major concern raised by one of the reviewers. They explicitly stated that the "cleanliness was definitely lacking," detailing issues with sticky plates, bowls, glasses, and rice containers, indicating inadequate washing. Furthermore, they noted that the tables were not wiped down, contributing to an "off-putting" experience. Such issues with hygiene can significantly impact a diner's perception of the restaurant and raise concerns about overall food safety standards. This negative feedback regarding cleanliness is a serious point for potential customers to consider.
The service at Asiana Restaurant is not extensively detailed in the provided reviews. One reviewer mentioned a Sunday night visit where the restaurant was empty, but did not comment specifically on the service speed or attentiveness. The other reviewer who had a negative experience focused primarily on the loud environment and cleanliness issues, also noting that the timing of the food service was problematic, with a long 30-minute wait for subsequent dishes, by which time they were already full. This suggests potential issues with the pacing of meal delivery, which can negatively impact the overall dining experience.
The food at Asiana Restaurant received mixed reviews. One customer found the "walnut prawns and the fried rice" to be "good." However, they noted that the "stir fried veggies were on the garlicky side (wasn't mentioned on the menu and the kids didn't like it)," indicating a potential issue with menu accuracy or a flavor profile that might not appeal to all palates. This highlights the importance of clear menu descriptions, especially regarding strong flavors like garlic. The same reviewer also found the "chicken was dry (overcooked?)," deeming it the only dish that was "no good." This suggests inconsistency in the preparation of different dishes.
The other reviewer who had a negative experience described the food as "pretty disappointing," stating that "everything was way too salty." Excessive saltiness can overwhelm the natural flavors of the ingredients and make dishes unappetizing. This is another significant concern regarding the food quality and preparation at Asiana Restaurant. The combination of dry chicken and overly salty dishes suggests potential issues with cooking techniques and seasoning.
Price-wise, one reviewer mentioned that four dishes cost "almost $90 pretip," which they felt was high enough to warrant seeking "better options in the area." This suggests that Asiana Restaurant might not be considered a budget-friendly option, especially if the quality of the food and overall experience do not justify the cost. The other reviewer did not comment specifically on the price, but their overall negative assessment implies that they did not feel the meal was worth the expense.
Beyond the food, noise, and cleanliness, one reviewer also noted that the "chairs were uncomfortable," further detracting from the dining experience. Additionally, they described the "bathroom was in awful condition," which is another significant issue that can negatively impact a customer's overall impression of a restaurant's hygiene and care.

In conclusion, Asiana Restaurant in Milpitas, offering a combination of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine, has received mixed to negative reviews based on the limited online feedback. While some dishes like the walnut prawns and fried rice were deemed "good" by one reviewer, significant concerns were raised by another regarding excessive noise due to karaoke, lack of cleanliness (sticky tableware and uncleaned tables), overly salty food, slow and poorly timed service, uncomfortable seating, and a poorly maintained bathroom. The price point was also mentioned as being relatively high. Local users considering dining at Asiana Restaurant should weigh these concerns carefully and might want to seek more recent reviews or contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their current environment, service standards, and food quality before making a decision. The strongly negative feedback regarding cleanliness and overall experience suggests caution.

Came in on a Sunday night and it was pretty empty. The food was decent; the walnut prawns and the fried rice were good, while the stir fried veggies were on the garlicky side (wasn't mentioned on the menu and the kids didn't like it). The chicken was dry (overcooked?) so that was the only dish that was no good. Price wise for the 4 dishes it was almost $90 pretip. The verdict is I think there are better options in the area.
I recently visited Asiana Restaurant, and honestly, it was a bit of a letdown. Maybe it was just the night I went, since there was a birthday party happening, but it was ridiculously loud with karaoke blasting the entire time—made it almost impossible to have a conversation. On top of that, the cleanliness was definitely lacking. The plates, bowls, glasses, and even the rice containers were sticky, and it was clear they weren’t washed properly. The tables weren't wiped down either, which made the whole experience feel pretty off-putting. As for the food, it was pretty disappointing. Everything was way too salty, and the timing was just all wrong. We had to wait around 30 minutes for the next wave of dishes to come out, and by the time they arrived, we were already full. The chairs were uncomfortable, and to top it all off, the bathroom was in awful condition. Overall, it didn’t live up to expectations, and I wouldn’t rush back.
A little overpriced for its taste. I got the fried sole fish and sautéed eggplant, which were decent, but the Szechuan chicken was too salty for my liking. I have been there several years ago and the quality of the food has noticeably declined.
Pros: Good tasting food, lots of selection. Cons: a lot of extra charges in the bill which add up on the price. We asked for water, got water in a red plastic cup, and we're charged two dollars for it. When paying for credit, we weren't told there was a 3.5% surcharge because we were using credit until after they completed the transaction. (The surcharge is done at other places, but usually the staff would let you know ahead of time!)
We’ve been going here since our children were born and now they’re 15 and 12. This place has the best mì triều châu IMHO. The crispy Chinese donuts complement the noodles soup perfectly well. This is the only place that I could get extra pork fried fat to enhance my soup taste. Other Chinese dishes are quite tasty, authentic and the price is so reasonable like inexpensive. The service here is very attentive and responsive. I like to come here whenever we want Chinese food although we live quite far away. Chicken Broccoli is so tender and perfectly cooked. Combination chow mein my son ordered every time. The xo beef is great. This place is always crowded regardless of the weather. We love it here.
