About Asian Wok

Welcome to Asian Wok, a Chinese restaurant situated at 6815 196th St SW ste k in Lynnwood, Washington. As a part of our Chinese Restaurant platform category, Asian Wok offers a range of Chinese dishes that have garnered both praise for their flavor and some mixed feedback regarding the service. This introduction aims to provide local users with a comprehensive and objective overview of what to expect when dining at Asian Wok, based on recent customer reviews available online.

One of the most prominent aspects of Asian Wok, according to customer feedback, is the excellent quality and flavor of the food. One reviewer enthusiastically stated that the food was "excellent," possessing a significant "wow factor." This suggests that the culinary offerings at Asian Wok have the potential to be highly satisfying and memorable. The same reviewer specifically recommended the chow mein, indicating it as a standout dish worth trying. This positive feedback on the food quality is a significant draw for those seeking a delicious Chinese meal in the Lynnwood area.

However, the experience at Asian Wok appears to be somewhat nuanced, particularly concerning the service. One customer recounted an interaction with a server named Jenny, which they found less than welcoming. According to this review, Jenny was "very shy," seemed reluctant to introduce herself, and appeared "almost irritated" when asked for her name. Furthermore, the reviewer noted a lack of table checks and a feeling of being rushed to place their order. This negative experience led to a feeling of unwelcomeness, which, despite the good food, deterred the customer from wanting to return or recommend the restaurant. This highlights the importance of service in the overall dining experience, even when the food itself is of high quality.

On a more positive note regarding service, another reviewer had a completely different experience, describing the service as "excellent." This customer specifically mentioned "almost instant tea and soup within a minute of ordering," indicating a high level of efficiency and attentiveness. This stark contrast in service experiences suggests that the quality of service might vary depending on the server or the time of the visit. However, the potential for such prompt and efficient service is definitely a positive aspect for diners to consider.

In addition to the chow mein, another dish that received high praise is the hot sour soup. One reviewer described it as "excellent," noting that it contained "chunks of chicken and great flavor." Hot sour soup is a staple in many Chinese restaurants, and a well-executed version can be a significant draw for connoisseurs of this dish. The positive feedback here suggests that Asian Wok does a commendable job with this particular offering.

The Kung Pao Chicken is also highlighted as a great dish by the same reviewer who praised the hot sour soup. Kung Pao Chicken is another popular and widely recognized Chinese dish, and positive feedback indicates that Asian Wok's preparation of this classic is well-received. The reviewer further added that "all the dishes I've tried here" have been great, suggesting a consistent level of quality across the menu, at least according to their experience.

One minor point of feedback regarding the food was that one reviewer found it to be "a bit heavy on celery." This is a specific observation about the preparation of certain dishes and might be relevant for diners who have a preference for or against a significant amount of celery in their Chinese food. It's a detail that could influence the experience for some individuals, although it didn't detract from the overall positive impression of the food for the reviewer who mentioned it.

In summary, Asian Wok in Lynnwood appears to be a restaurant that excels in the flavor and quality of its Chinese cuisine, with dishes like the chow mein, hot sour soup, and Kung Pao Chicken receiving high praise. The service, however, seems to be an area where experiences can vary, ranging from very efficient and attentive to feeling rushed and unwelcome. The environment is not described in detail in the provided reviews, so it's difficult to comment on that aspect based solely on this information.

For local users considering dining at Asian Wok, the strong positive feedback on the food is a significant advantage. If you are looking for flavorful Chinese dishes in Lynnwood, Asian Wok seems capable of delivering a satisfying culinary experience. However, it's worth being aware of the potential for mixed service experiences. While some customers have enjoyed excellent and prompt service, others have reported feeling less welcome. This suggests that the service might be inconsistent or that individual perceptions can vary.

If you decide to visit Asian Wok, it might be beneficial to go with an open mind regarding the service and to focus on the potentially excellent food. Ordering recommended dishes like the chow mein, hot sour soup, or Kung Pao Chicken could be a good starting point. If you have specific preferences regarding ingredients like celery, it might be worth mentioning them when placing your order. You can contact Asian Wok at (425) 771-5838 or +1 425-771-5838 for any inquiries or to place an order. Given the contrasting service experiences, it might be prudent to manage expectations and hope for a positive interaction while looking forward to the flavorful food that Asian Wok seems to be known for.

Food was excellent. Very flavorful and had the wow factor. Recommend the chow mein. Jenny the server was very shy didn't want to introduce herself and seemed almost irritated I asked for her name. No checks on table and rushed me to order. Had the feeling I wasn't welcome. On that note the food was good but if I'm not welcome I won't be back. And I won't be Recommending this place to my colleagues for lunch.

Good Chinese, though a bit heavy on celery. Excellent service, almost instant tea and soup within a minute of ordering. The hot sour soup is excellent, with chunks of chicken and great flavor. Kung Pao Chicken is great, as are all the dishes I've tried here.

Very first visit. Bright, clean, colorful place. Three different lunches there yesterday. All were good. Only complaint: the abundant meat could be cut more bite size. All very tasty and reasonably priced. We’ll be visiting again maybe next week.

Best Chinese food in the Edmonds / Lynnwood area. I love their hot and sour soup and their lunch special is a great price. Service is always quick and everything is piping hot. If you like things spicy I’d suggest 5 star since things do run a little mild. If you’re up for something new their basil chicken is to die for with awesome flavors all around.
