About Asian To Go

Asian To Go is a Chinese restaurant located at 1857 Main St in Centerville, Minnesota. Operating within the Chinese Restaurant category, Asian To Go primarily offers takeout services to the local community. Customers can contact the restaurant at (651) 407-6289 or +1 651-407-6289 to place orders or for inquiries.

Recent online reviews for Asian To Go present a somewhat polarized view of the restaurant's offerings. One customer shared a decidedly negative experience, stating it would be their "first and last time" ordering from this establishment. Their order included chicken pad Thai, which they found to have cold chicken and a generally warm but tasteless base. Their partner's dish, Spicy chicken with cashew nuts, also suffered from quality issues. Despite only a five-minute drive home, the chicken was described as dry in the middle with a "super soggy" breading, leading the reviewer to speculate that it might have been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period. While the reviewer found their own pad Thai "at least somewhat edible," they noted it tasted primarily of noodles with little other flavor, and their partner's chicken was deemed "inedible." They did mention that the wontons and rice were "okay." Despite feeling bad about writing a negative review for what appeared to be a "little family owned place," they felt it was important to share their experience, expressing hope that the issues could be addressed.

In contrast, another customer reported multiple positive experiences with takeout from Asian To Go. They stated, "We have ordered takeout a few times- We really like the food!!" This positive sentiment was echoed by their mother-in-law, who had eaten there previously and found the food to be better than in the past, expressing a desire to order again in the future. This group ordered a variety of dishes, including Singapore Chicken Noodles, which they described as "SUPER good(!!)," along with fried rice, chow mein, a beef dish (the specific name was not recalled), curry chicken, and a few other unspecified items. The reviewer concluded that everyone in their group was "really happy" with their meals.

The stark contrast between these two reviews suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality and preparation of food at Asian To Go. The negative review highlights significant issues with temperature (cold chicken), texture (soggy breading, dry chicken), and flavor (tasteless pad Thai, bland chicken). The positive review, on the other hand, emphasizes the enjoyable taste of several dishes, particularly the Singapore Chicken Noodles, and overall satisfaction with multiple orders. This discrepancy could be due to various factors, such as different dishes having varying levels of quality control, inconsistencies in cooking on different days or times, or perhaps even differences in individual taste preferences.

Information regarding the environment of Asian To Go is limited in these reviews. The focus is primarily on takeout orders, with no mention of a dine-in experience or the ambiance of the restaurant itself. Given the name "Asian To Go," it is likely that the establishment is primarily geared towards takeout service, although they may have a small waiting area for customers picking up their orders. Without more information, it is difficult to describe the physical setting of the restaurant.

In terms of services, the reviews clearly indicate that Asian To Go offers takeout. One review explicitly mentions ordering through takeout multiple times, while the other details a specific takeout order that resulted in a negative experience. There is no mention of delivery services, so it is unclear if Asian To Go provides its own delivery or partners with third-party delivery platforms. The positive reviewer's repeated orders suggest that their takeout service is generally reliable and satisfactory for them.

The reviews do not provide any information about special features of Asian To Go, such as unique dishes, specific cooking styles, or any particular aspects that set it apart from other Chinese restaurants in the area, beyond the dishes mentioned in the customer feedback (e.g., Singapore Chicken Noodles being particularly well-received by one customer). Similarly, there is no promotional information available in these reviews. To learn about any current specials, discounts, or family meal options, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly.

In conclusion, Asian To Go in Centerville, MN, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While some patrons have had very positive experiences with their takeout orders, praising the deliciousness of certain dishes like the Singapore Chicken Noodles, others have encountered significant issues with food quality, including cold, tasteless, and poorly textured items. This inconsistency suggests that potential customers may have varying experiences depending on the dishes ordered and perhaps the timing of their orders. As a primarily takeout establishment, the focus seems to be on providing convenient meals to go. To gain a better understanding of their menu, potential features, and any current promotions, contacting Asian To Go directly is recommended. Local users may want to consider the contrasting reviews when making their decision to order from this restaurant.

First and last time. We got chicken pad Thai, chicken was cold, the rest of it was warm, but tasteless.. my partner got Spicy chicken with cashew nuts. It was about a 5 minute drive back home, and her chicken was dry in the middle and the breading was super soggy. Like it has been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. My pad Thai was at least somewhat edible, despite tasting like noodles and nothing else. Her chicken was inedible. Wontons were okay, rice was okay. Feels bad writing such a review on what seems like a little family owned place, but.. people deserve to know. I hope whoever's in charge can fix it.

We have ordered takeout a few times- We really like the food!! My mother-in-law, who had eaten there some time ago, liked it more than she had in the past, and wanted to order it again in the future! We had Singapore Chicken Noodles- SUPER good(!!), fried rice, chow mein, a beef dish ( I can’t remember what my relative ordered) curry chicken, and a few other dishes that I can’t remember in our group. We were all really happy!

First and last time The food was really disappointing. I was looking forward to trying their Pad Thai, but sadly it had no flavor to it and it was a bit too dry. The beef fried rice tasted burnt like they didn’t clean their wok really well before cooking a new batch. And lastly, their fried chicken had no flavor. We won’t be going back there….

People are very friendly but they messed up our order and the chicken wings were still raw, all the food taste like frozen microwave food even the fried food is mushy. quality has taken a huge dive since new owners took over

Grabbed food here 11/9/2024. Was hoping the negative reviews were wrong... They were not. The egg rolls and wontons tasted like the fry oil has never been changed. I ordered Sesame chicken the breading was completely soggy and there was no sesame sauce. My wife ordered the lo mein it tasted like nothing thankfully because it smelled like wet sneakers. My wife read me the negative reviews on our way but i always refuse to listen to them. I want to decide for myself. Waste of 50$.
