About Asian Star Buffet
Welcome to Asian Star Buffet, a newly established Chinese restaurant located at 1001 Alta Mere Dr in Fort Worth, Texas. Situated within the Chinese Restaurant category, Asian Star Buffet has taken over a previous buffet location and, according to initial customer feedback, has undergone a significant and positive transformation. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of the environment, services, and features based on recent online reviews.
One of the first aspects that customers have noted about Asian Star Buffet is the remarkable improvement in the physical space. One reviewer explicitly stated, "They truly worked miracles inside." This suggests a significant renovation or remodeling effort, resulting in a noticeably enhanced environment compared to the previous establishment. The restaurant is described as "clean and well spread out," indicating that diners can expect a comfortable and spacious setting. This thoughtful layout likely contributes to a more relaxed and enjoyable dining experience, preventing overcrowding and allowing for ease of movement throughout the buffet area. The reviewer further complimented the "nice atmosphere," suggesting that the overall ambiance of Asian Star Buffet is inviting and pleasant for patrons.
In terms of the food offerings, Asian Star Buffet provides a wide variety of dishes, as is typical for a buffet-style restaurant. One customer mentioned that there was "plenty to choose from," indicating a substantial selection that caters to diverse tastes. While the overall quality of the food seems to be generally positive, with some dishes standing out more than others, the sheer variety ensures that most diners will likely find several options to enjoy. Specific dishes that received high praise include the Lo mein, dumplings, and chicken kabob sticks, which were described as "awesome." This positive feedback suggests that these particular items are well-prepared and flavorful, making them potential must-tries for first-time visitors. Additionally, the breaded shrimp, house rolls, and peppered chicken were also noted as "pretty good," indicating a satisfactory level of quality for these selections as well.
However, it's important to provide a balanced perspective, as one reviewer noted that "everything else was bland at best" beyond the aforementioned favorites. This suggests that while some dishes are well-received, others might lack the robust flavor profiles that some diners expect from Asian cuisine. This kind of variability is not uncommon in buffet settings, where maintaining consistent quality across a large number of dishes can be challenging. Therefore, while there are definitely standout items, it might be prudent for diners to explore the offerings to find their personal favorites.
A fun and somewhat unexpected feature mentioned by a reviewer is the inclusion of a chocolate fountain. This dessert option, often accompanied by items like marshmallows and fruits for dipping, adds a touch of novelty and can be particularly appealing to children and those with a sweet tooth. One reviewer specifically mentioned, "They even had a chocolate fountain, lol!" indicating a sense of amusement and perhaps delight at this addition. Another reviewer noted that their wife enjoyed the "fruit salad with the marshmallows," further highlighting the presence of sweeter options beyond traditional Chinese desserts.
The service at Asian Star Buffet appears to be a positive aspect of the dining experience. The employees are described as "friendly and helpful," which contributes significantly to customer satisfaction. Positive interactions with staff can enhance the overall dining experience, making patrons feel welcome and well-cared for. This focus on customer service, combined with the improved environment, suggests a commitment to creating a pleasant experience for guests.
One reviewer also provided a suggestion for a potential new dessert item: flan. They noted that flan is "very popular at the other Asian buffet we usually go to," implying that it could be a welcome addition to Asian Star Buffet's dessert offerings and potentially attract customers who enjoy this custard-based dessert. This kind of feedback can be valuable for the restaurant management as they continue to refine their menu based on customer preferences.

Customer Reviews
I am so glad this place is here instead of the old buffet. They truly worked miracles inside. It is clean and well spread out. Nice atmosphere for sure. The food was good as well. Plenty to choose from. They even had a chocolate fountain, lol! Employees were friendly and helpful.
Some stuff was good while others not so much. The Lo main, dumplings and chicken kabob sticks were awesome. The breaded shrimp, house rolls and peppered chicken was also pretty good. Everything else was bland at best. My wife liked the fruit salad with the marshmallows though. Also maybe add a dessert called Flan? It's very popular at the other Asian buffet we usually go to.
Went the other day right when they opened the doors and had high hopes, great selection of food but all the chicken was cold not even warm. The best food we had was the desserts 10/10 on those but the sodas were watery, service was not bad on refills but over all just won’t be coming back. I’ll stick with my Japanese palace.
Have a visit for our first time at Asian Star Buffet. A very well established buffet for the whole family. You have your typical fried rice, a variety of wholesome foods for all taste buts. Sushi for sushi aficionado and your Mongolian BBQ grill for us aficionados. Bring the whole family and have a very good tasting buffet for everyone. Customer service was awesome. Will come back and very well recommend.
Service was great. Everyone was nice. The food was mid. Some was fresh, some not so much. A lot of the food was not labeled. Place was clean and food handling procedures seemed to be in order (from what I could see). Lots of different options.
