About Asian Kitchen

Welcome to Asian Kitchen, a Chinese restaurant located at 279 Oakwood St in Folkston, Georgia (GA 31537), USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Asian Kitchen aims to provide Chinese cuisine to the Folkston community. You can contact them at (912) 496-7888 or their mobile number +1 912-496-7888.

Based on recent customer feedback, Asian Kitchen presents a nuanced picture. One recent, very concerning review reported a severe issue with food quality, specifically alleging that spoiled chicken wings were served. The reviewer included a visual reference ("Look ๐Ÿ‘€ they cooked spoiled chicken!!!") and declared their patronage to be over ("You are DONE โœ….."). This is a serious accusation that potential customers should be aware of, as food safety is paramount in any dining establishment.

In contrast, another long-term customer offered a more comprehensive perspective based on their experiences over time. They initially frequented Asian Kitchen primarily due to its lower prices compared to other local restaurants. However, they also highlighted the genuine niceness of the employees as a significant positive factor that kept them returning. This suggests that Asian Kitchen may prioritize customer relations and aim to create a friendly atmosphere.

This long-term reviewer also provided historical context, recalling a time when the current owner was still in the process of mastering the menu. During this earlier period, they noted that some dishes might have been inconsistent, with possibilities of undercooked food, too much water in the rice, or a lack of flavor. This indicates that the restaurant has undergone a learning and development process over the years.

Importantly, the reviewer observed that the food quality has "definitely improved" over time. They also mentioned the owner's proactive approach to seeking feedback directly from customers, implying a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The owner reportedly engaged with customers face-to-face to solicit criticism, acknowledging that many customers might simply not return if they were dissatisfied without voicing their concerns.

Regarding the dining environment and services, the long-term reviewer noted that the interior dining area is "not the best" and not the restaurant's primary focus. However, dine-in service is available for those who prefer to eat at the location. A notable feature mentioned is an order window for customers who do not wish to enter the restaurant. Furthermore, Asian Kitchen offers a convenient car service, where employees will bring the food out to your vehicle upon order.

The long-term reviewer concluded with an overall rating of 8 out of 10, suggesting a generally positive experience despite the acknowledged limitations of the dining environment and the earlier inconsistencies in food preparation. This indicates that for this customer, the affordability, friendly service, and improved food quality outweigh the drawbacks.

For local users in Folkston considering Asian Kitchen, the recent severe allegation of spoiled food is a significant concern that should not be overlooked. It would be prudent to exercise caution and perhaps seek more recent reviews or information to ascertain if this was an isolated incident or part of a larger issue with food handling and safety.

However, the positive aspects highlighted by the long-term reviewer are also important to consider. The affordability of Asian Kitchen might be a major draw for budget-conscious customers. The consistently friendly employees and the owner's apparent dedication to improvement and seeking feedback suggest a customer-oriented approach. The convenient takeout options, including the order window and car service, add to the accessibility and appeal for those who prefer to eat their meals elsewhere.

The information provided does not detail specific menu items or any current promotional offers. To get a better understanding of what Asian Kitchen offers, local users might want to inquire about their menu and pricing. Given the mention of past inconsistencies in food preparation, it might also be helpful to ask about their current cooking standards and popular dishes.

The fact that the dining inside is not the main focus suggests that Asian Kitchen primarily caters to takeout customers. If you are looking for a quick and affordable Chinese meal to take home and value friendly service, Asian Kitchen's takeout options, especially the car service, could be appealing.

In conclusion, Asian Kitchen in Folkston presents a mixed profile. While a recent review raises a serious food safety concern, a long-term customer praises its affordability, friendly service, and improved food quality over time, despite a less than ideal dine-in environment. Local users will need to weigh these factors carefully. It might be advisable to look for additional recent reviews to get a broader sense of the current state of the restaurant and its food safety practices before deciding to order from or dine at Asian Kitchen.

If you choose to try Asian Kitchen, perhaps starting with a small takeout order of a popular dish might be a cautious approach. You could also inquire about their food preparation and hygiene standards when placing your order. Your own experience and any further information you gather can help you determine if Asian Kitchen is a suitable option for your Chinese food needs in Folkston.

I've been coming here for quite some time. The main original reason was not just because of how much cheaper it is from the other restaurants, but the employees themselves are actually really nice people when you get to know them. Years ago I remember when the current owner was still learning how to cook everything on the menu so some things MIGHT be undercooked, maybe to much water in the rice, or just plain flavorless. Over the years the food quality has definitely improved and I remember the owner asking for feed back face to face because not a lot of customers give criticism for his cooking, if someone doesn't like something, they just won't return. The dining inside isn't the best because it's not his main focus but it is available. There's a order window for people who don't want to walk in, they will even bring the food out to your car. I would give it a over all 8/10

This place is very hit or miss and Iโ€™ve noticed if the guy who I believe is the owner is working, food tends to be good but if itโ€™s the girl itโ€™s awful. Last night I ordered cream cheese wontons and I ate a few and they were good only to bite down into one of them that was spoiled. This is not the first time this has happened and after the last time we quit eating here for a few months but seeing as food options are limited here in Folkston we decided to give them another try. To add to the issue the rice last night was mush and sweet and sour chicken was full of geese.
