About Asian Imperial

Asian Imperial is a Chinese restaurant located at 5 Electric Ave in Lunenburg, Massachusetts (01462). They can be contacted at (978) 582-0888 or via their mobile number +1 978-582-0888. As a Chinese restaurant serving the Lunenburg area, Asian Imperial offers a variety of Chinese dishes, with services including both dine-in and takeout options.

The available customer reviews for Asian Imperial present a mixed picture, with some positive aspects mentioned but significant concerns raised about the consistency and quality of their food and service, particularly in recent times. One customer who visited for lunch reported a positive experience with the "amazing" pork fried rice. They also ordered mixed vegetables with beef, noting that while the sauce was "mediocre," the dish cost $13 and had an "okay" portion size. This meal came with "pretty good" fried chicken wings as an appetizer. The staff was described as "friendly and efficient." However, despite these positive elements, this reviewer concluded that they would "overall do not think I would eat there again," suggesting that the inconsistencies or the less impressive aspects of their meal outweighed the positives.

In contrast, another reviewer expressed significant disappointment with the restaurant's recent decline in quality, stating that Asian Imperial has "really dramatically (and sadly) fallen off in the past year." While they acknowledged that "the dining room is gorgeous," they raised serious concerns about the food coming from the kitchen. This reviewer recounted three recent "awful" meals with their family, including a birthday dinner in July where none of the three ordered dishes had any spice, and two were missing items listed on the menu. They ended up sending back two of the dishes, implying a widespread issue with the food preparation.

This negative trend extends to their takeout service, which the reviewer described as "abysmal." They reported two instances where ordered and paid-for items were forgotten, necessitating a return trip and resulting in cold food. This indicates significant issues with order accuracy for takeout customers.

Specific dishes have also reportedly suffered a decline in quality. The "General Gao's" (likely a misspelling of General Tso's) was described as "incredibly mushy and lacking in spice lately." Additionally, the reviewer reported finding carrots in their Hot & Sour Soup, questioning the kitchen's attention to detail and consistency with recipes. They expressed concern that "the kitchen has all but given up on maintaining their previously high-standard of quality," especially considering that "their menu prices rise, of course." This paints a concerning picture of declining food quality coupled with increasing costs.

The reviewer speculated about the possibility of other businesses poaching their chefs and requested information about such a scenario, indicating a complete loss of their past positive feelings towards Asian Imperial. This strong negative sentiment underscores the severity of the perceived decline in quality.

Considering these reviews, local users in Lunenburg should be aware of the reported inconsistencies and the apparent decline in food quality at Asian Imperial over the past year. While the dining room is described as "gorgeous" and the staff was noted as "friendly and efficient" by one reviewer, the significant issues raised about the food – including blandness, missing ingredients, mushy textures, incorrect items, and declining standards – are serious concerns.

The environment of Asian Imperial is described by one reviewer as having a "gorgeous" dining room. This suggests that the physical space of the restaurant might be appealing for those choosing to dine in. However, the negative feedback regarding the food quality could overshadow the ambiance for many potential customers.

The services offered by Asian Imperial include both dine-in and takeout. However, the negative review specifically highlights "abysmal" experiences with takeout orders, citing forgotten items and the resulting inconvenience of having to return, leading to cold food. This suggests potential reliability issues with their takeout service. The quality of food served for dine-in customers has also been heavily criticized in the more recent review, indicating problems across their service offerings.

Features of Asian Imperial that were once positive, such as the quality of their General Tso's chicken and Hot & Sour Soup, have reportedly declined. The pork fried rice was praised by one reviewer, suggesting it might still be a strong point on their menu. The friendly and efficient staff mentioned by one customer is a potential positive attribute, although it does not compensate for the reported issues with food quality and order accuracy.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in any special offers or discounts at Asian Imperial would need to contact the restaurant directly or check for any online presence where such information might be advertised.

For local users in Lunenburg seeking a Chinese restaurant, Asian Imperial presents a dilemma. While it may have once been a highly regarded establishment with a beautiful dining room, recent feedback strongly suggests a significant decline in the quality of their food and reliability of their takeout service. The inconsistencies reported make it difficult to recommend Asian Imperial without reservation. Potential customers might want to proceed with caution, perhaps trying a simple dish like the pork fried rice based on the positive comment, but remaining aware of the more widespread negative feedback regarding other menu items and takeout accuracy.

To gain a more up-to-date understanding of the current situation at Asian Imperial, local users might consider looking for more recent reviews on other platforms or contacting the restaurant directly to inquire about any changes in their kitchen staff or service procedures. Given the strong negative sentiments expressed in the more recent review, it would be prudent to approach Asian Imperial with tempered expectations.

In conclusion, Asian Imperial in Lunenburg, MA, appears to be a Chinese restaurant with a visually appealing dining room and friendly staff, but recent customer reviews indicate a significant decline in food quality across various dishes, including a previously well-regarded General Tso's chicken and Hot & Sour Soup. Takeout orders have also been reported as unreliable with forgotten items. While one reviewer praised the pork fried rice, the overall trend suggests inconsistency and a drop in standards, coupled with rising prices. Local users should carefully consider these recent experiences before choosing to dine at or order from Asian Imperial.

First time at this restaurant went there for lunch. The pork fried rice was amazing! I ordered mixed vegetables with beef, I think they relied on the sauce to carry the dish but the sauce was mediocre. Cost $13, portion was okay Came with fried chicken wings as an appetizer which were pretty good Staff was friendly and efficient Overall do not think I would eat there again

This place has really dramatically (and sadly) fallen off in the past year. While the dining room is gorgeous, something nefarious has been happening in that kitchen. The past three meals I've had with my family have been awful. I took my Father out for his birthday in July. Absolutely none of the three dishes we ordered had any spice, and two of them were missing items listed on the menu. We ended up sending back two of the dishes, but it could have honestly been all three. Takeout orders have been abysmal—twice now, they've forgotten items that we ordered and paid for, causing us to double-back, which in turn results in cold food. The General Gao's in particular has been incredibly mushy and lacking in spice lately, and today, I'm finding carrots in our Hot & Sour Soup. Is anyone checking these dishes? It seems like the kitchen has all but given up on maintaining their previously high-standard of quality. All while their menu prices rise, of course. Did another business poach their chefs in the past year? If so, please let me know so I can give them my business instead. All our past love for this establishment is gone.

We ordered here for Christmas Eve and it was awful. All dishes were lukewarm and clearly sat for a long period of time even though my husband was early for our pick up time. Two people got sick from eating and had to been the pork since the other 3 of us didn't get sick and don't touch the pork. My husband wrote to them and no response. $110 worth of food thrown out because it was awful and people were sick. This place has gone down hill and to not respond to a concern/food issue is unacceptable.

Won't be returning here. My family and I have been going here for years and we decided to order some take out on Christmas Eve. We ordered quite a bit of food, $100+ dollars worth. The food was terrible, it was clear that it sat around for probably 30 minutes before I got it and I was provided a pickup time, I arrived 10 minutes before my pickup time. Myself and one other from my party got sick after eating their food, we believe it was the pork we ate because we were the only two people that had their spare ribs and dumplings. I'll never be back especially after emailing them and never getting a response.

This was definitely one of the best food experiences that I've had in a long time. The wait staff were nice and the food was even better. I ordered the Pupu Platter for 2 and the Chicken fried rice and it was one of the best that I ever had. I would definitely come back again. Great Job!!!
